When a Republican calls another Republican Hitler, it's a big loving deal. They save that for Bill Clinton or Barack HUSSEIN Obama usually, or Lucifer willing, Hillary Clinton. The fact nobody called him out on it speaks volumes.

Don't worry, though, Trump is going to sort this poo poo out with Kasich fo sho.

Future president Donald J. Trump, head of state responsible for diplomatic relations with the rest of the world, currently running a presidential campaign against Hillary Clinton and talking about creating a $30 million Super PAC to take down John Kasich when John Kasich is the Republican governor of Ohio, a critical swing state Trump absolutely has to win, and Kasich is the main person responsible for organizing efforts to get Trump elected in Ohio.

i'm just saying that there aren't really any programs to provide benefits to working class people, you can't get medicaid unless you are destitute and/or disabled, if you have kids you can get food stamps but they are pretty frugal with that as well and you have to jump through hoops constantly to get and keep those because the state makes it clear that it does not want to give them to you

the EITC is the only decent benefit that a working class person can get, and even then it's only a significant amount if you have kids and make like less than like $30k.

that's why it's pretty ridiculous to be like "oh if debt is too high then there's less money to spend on all those great benefits!" there's no loving benefits

Running a deficit is such a good political tool. You use it as a bludgeon to cut a program you don't like, or to refuse benefits to people.

I dunno I've talked to a few people that lost their jobs for no fault of their own and were going 'man I'm stressed' and when I told them to get unemployment they kinda winced and went 'isn't that... idk bad though?' Granted they were in their 20s so ymmv.

i've never applied for unemployment because Florida maxes out at $275 a week and will pretty much automatically deny any claim that an employer disputes, it's not worth the hassle

I think of benefits as all public goods that are paid for with tax dollars. Education, law enforcement, fire, military, social security, infrastructure, health care, parks, prisons, research, waste management, community development, space exploration, etc, etc, etc. There are a huge amount of things we all benefit from that the government pays for, not just welfare. About 5% of government spending goes towards paying interest on debt. If we didn't have to pay that, then it could go towards all that other stuff we all benefit from.

When a country's debt gets too high it's ability to repay debt is questionable. Credit ratings drop, interest goes up, insurance goes up, inflation goes up, currency loses purchasing parity and if there's bad decision making in combination with some poo poo luck, it turns into a positive-feedback loop resulting in hyperinflation and economic collapse. Happened in Weimar Germany, Zimbabwe, North Korea and currently Venezuela. Some debt is ok, normal and in some ways beneficial. Spending money like you're the geopolitical equivalent of David Bowie on a coke binge is bad news.

Stein is offering student loan forgiveness as her first action in office, and that's one hell of a carrot. I dunno.

It would be awesome if some magical event took place that made Jill Stein a viable candidate, like super-advanced aliens landing and endorsing her for President or something like that. I just don't think it is going to happen.

Who is the corrupt politician here, Hillary?

Are comments like this for real or am I just not understanding them. Did you just essentially say 'Well, Trump just wants the fame of being President, Pence will do the actual President stuff, so...think about it guys - that ought to be enough for you to vote for Hillary, even if it turns out she is corrupt..'
