There's some pro-wrestling logic in play where Vegeta is good now because he's really over with the audience. I think that's the main genre where writers will actually change a dude's alignment depending on how he's received.

I was searching for stuff to get my girlfriend for our anniversary and I checked Dragon Ball figures. "Son Gokou" is incredibly common, and I also found a "Piccoro". Not to mention Krillin/Kuririn/Kulilin/Klilyn, and I'm sure there's several others. Hell, even the official translations have goofs, such as "Kakarot" and "Vegito" (Kakarotto, Vegetto) in the English translation and "Bills" in the Spanish one. Romanization is hard.

Oh come on, seriously? When you think Saiyan power-up, you get Super Saiyan. When you think Namekian power-up, you get giant mode. When you think Human power-up, where do you get Nimbus and Power Pole? That was a Goku-specific thing - and he's not even a Human! I wanted some kind of ultra-buff Roshi mode, or even just some sort of "moment of triumph" power increase like Tien vs Cell, or Krillin vs Frieza, where suddenly your skills get a mega-boost.

I guess it would have been hard to justify, but I might have gone with Humans being able to occasionally activate an Infinite Energy Drive for SSJ-style unlimited supers,maybe.
