No. In the current comics she 's the god of war after Ares died.

In the Brian Azzarello run (which is really good), they are explicitly separate characters

Artemis is a separate character in WW comics, often depicted as her more aggressive and warlike contemporary. Artemis' classic origin has her born among a splintered clan of Amazons: Diana was from Themyscira, Artemis from Bana-Mighdall. The Bana Amazons renounced their loyalty to the gods of Olympus, and were led by Antiope, sister of Hippolyta (Queen of the Amazons, and ruler of Themyscira).

The funny part about this is that apparently Jesus is in this movie a ton more than the 1959 movie, but the only advertising I've seen is related to the chariot race and/or Judah being sold into slavery.

It is appropriate though because the chariot race owns bones.

Makes sense to sell it to the general public as Gladiator II and trust the churchfolk to hear about it from their pastor

The theme in both the Seven Samurai and the Magnificent Seven is that there really is no honor in violence and death and maybe its a good thing that the samurai and gunslingers are a dying breed. The characters aren't necessarily bad or good neither, in the Magnificent Seven the bandits raid the village because they are hungry not because they're evil. In the remake it seems like the theme is that violence is loving awesome and that the world can be neatly divided into white hats and black hats.

This might sound controversial but the M7 trailer is probably the better one here. From looking at it I know exactly what kind of movie it is advertising and why I might want to watch it. From the Handmaiden trailer I can tell absolutely nothing but the fact that the trailer is really cool. All the fast cuts between unconnected scenes, the ominous, pumping music, does it have anything to do with the movie? Is the movie like that? The internet tells me it's a historical drama, is it gonna resemble the trailer in style and mood? This trailer is not gonna attract the kind of audience who cares about historical dramas, but people expecting something totally different, and nobody is going to be happy. See the trailer to Drive, perhaps Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (haven't actually seen the movie for the latter)

Funny but as a big Irvine Welsh and Danny Boyle fan I'm really not super thrilled though I'll cross my fingers
Boyle just feels like he's been pretty inconsistent to mediocre for his last X films and I was turned off when he decided to diss and not properly adapt Porno. I get that Porno isn't as good a novel as Trainspotting, but it's pretty decent and since most people consider Trainspotting his best that's not much of a knock. So Danny gave it this stupid name and is apparently/probably gonna inject more of his own original thought, which doesn't necessarily thrill me. It's not that I believe in canonical purity with adaptations or that Welsh is untouchable, he's made plenty of mediocre to terrible creative decisions too, I'd just trust the original novel more than a 2017 Danny Boyle movie.

Least Filth was a solid adaptation.
