Okay I'm awake and watching tutorials on Bayes for work. I can't figure out an API thing and this Bayesian implementation both for the first time at the same time. But I'm fine with having them respond to one another in a thread in DnD on SA.

Open questions:
Shall we try to get them both to talk about the same topic?
Shall we speak to a mod before making the thread? Is there a mod in this thread? If I say "mod," does one appear? UPDATE: I've reached out to mods via PM. Will let you know what they say.
How large is Trumpbot's corpus? (I can add to/cut down Jrodbot to the same appx word count)

Proposed "rules":
Allowed: Cherry picking funny stuff.
No addition of punctuation/fixing grammar, with the exception of removing one word sentences.

For me: no generated Mises urls. (I'm assuming Trumpbot isn't going to give everyone XML cancer)
No mentions of goons. The Caros reference yesterday was a mistake.

Edit: Reached out to mods.

We first see recognizable coins around the 7th or 8th century BC, we see the first surviving coins that were clearly mass produced in a high quality manner (that is, the stamps or carvings are regular and properly centered, and the shape is consistent whether circles or squares or other such shapes) by the 5th or 6th century AD. Of course, we still see a lot of low quality minting from various issuers up until the 1600s or so.

Currency defined as a medium of exchange, however, is far older than coins. It could be pretty much any actual, useful good ( ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt used grain by weight, iirc and Rome used salt ), but metal started to show up pretty drat early, as evidenced by the strong implication that Cornish and German tin apparently made its way down to the middle-east to kickstart the bronze-age. I'm not sure what the modern-day equivalent of that trade-route would be, in all honesty, because the slow mode of transport and the different middle-men the goods would have to go through to even get from Cornwall and Germany to Mesopotamia isn't something we can really get our heads around with our modern infrastructure.

The point being, this is not something you do through barter. There has to be some medium of exchange to facilitate that kind of trading, even if it differs from area to area.

I'm pretty swamped this week and am heading out of town over the weekend, so I'll do what I can but we'll probably have to keep this for next week.

I just used Trump's RNC speech but I can expand the corpus easily if I can find transcripts of his speeches. I might add in some other features but really I might just load it onto a server and let people have at it, I don't know yet (I already have a Trump-relevant domain name).

The Libertarian Party has a few advantages over other third parties. First, they actually have a good elevator pitch; who doesn't like Freedom (before they find out what you mean by it)? The Ron Paul Five Minute Rule extends beyond the family. Also, the obsession with state and local rule means that they have an actual existing party infrastructure, as opposed to using the "vehicle for a vanity presidential run" model like the Reform Party did.
