I can't believe that cost $4 million. The elastic ropes at the start were cool but for the most part it was mostly empty stadium space, a light show, unchoreographed samba and YouTube videos. Even the part with the model walking through the middle was a waste, it was like having a large white canvas and drawing something really small in the middle.

I will give NBC this. The aTV app (and I imagine iOS and android apps as well) giving me the option to watch ALL events live is really nice. I've been flipping between the NBC app and BBC iPlayer all morning.
