The thing is, at least of one the powers is kinda of bad. The bribe power has to revealed to everyone, so that could seemingly cause some bad feelings for the one who gets it and the one who is bribed.

The remove two vote power can be negated pretty easily too, depending how late it in the game can be used. If Bridget gets it next sunday, everyone else can easily just put her up and all vote for her. Remove 2, you are still going home, and they don't have to worry about the power screwing them over.

More on Season 19 on All Access this fall: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/big-brother-moves-fall-cbs-915090?utm_source=twitter http://deadline.com/2016/08/big-brother-season-19-fall-cbs-all-access-1201796972/ Still not "official" yet. Nothing about it being the new permanent home for BB. Nothing about any prize money difference either. Teek fucked around with this message at 17:38 on Aug 2, 2016 |

JakeP posted:The first article actually says it is confirmed from a reliable source that this will not replace the Summer seasons on CBS BB Propah has always been Summer fare and always will be. It's not putting up monster numbers but it regularly hits #1 on the nights it airs. Until that changes, Summer BB will still remain a 'thing'. This experiment they are trying certainly harkens back to the fact that the new Head of Programming at CBS is a BB superfan since Day 1. And CBS wants retained eyeballs on their All Access platform. The All Access platform population most assuredly dips when Summer BB wraps and those numbers are beancounting tangible. The new series of Star Trek being All Access only is not a fluke either. CBS is taking a page from Netflix to create streaming content. I dunno if BB19 is the answer but it will certainly whet some cat lady's whistles to stick around.

Well they are going another direction with All Access, basically making it into CBS-Netflix where they can put original programming, rather than airing it on network TV. Its sort of just a general trend in how people watch their shows, and CBS is trying to get ahead of it to stay with the times so they don't get lost in the shuffle as more and more people watch less and less cable TV.

The funny thing about that Star Trek show is that the only two die hard Trek fans I know both seem pessimistic as gently caress about it and don't seem to be looking forward to it at all. And in general, I don't know a single person who is hyped or optimistic about it in the way people are about Netflix or other streaming shows.

I haven't had All Access for like a year, have they made it, like, more functional? That was a big hurdle for me, is that the entire thing was an ugly, difficult piece of garbage when I just want it to look and act like Netflix.

It was easy enough to teach my mother how to find the BB feeds, but I remember having problems last year too, now that you mention it. Finding full episodes of some shows was WAY more loving difficult than it needed to be.

At least this year they have the All Access app semi-working with the feeds. Edit: All Access Fall Season Officially Official: http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_brother/news/1005575/new-digital-edition-of-big-brother-coming-to-cbs-all-access-this-fall/ Sounds like the same crew are returning, including the producers and Julie. All Access isn't Netflix levels of functionality or anything but its not really a hassle or a problem anymore. It definitely improved from last year. I mean, it didn't even have streams in it before it just sent you to a link in your browser. Now everything is at least streaming out of the app.

Teek posted:At least this year they have the All Access app semi-working with the feeds. No start date yet, but from what I've seen with studios like that (the house is literally just a studio building) they can pretty much clear and rebuild a lot of it extremely fast, as they would have pre-measured EVERYTHING in there. I doubt they would reuse the current design only if to avoid confusion. They probably want the house to look distinct enough so that a viewer at a glance can distinguish it from the previous season. Or they could be totally cheaping out and I'm wrong.

Yeah, half the poo poo in the house breaks and falls apart anyway. So it won't be too surprising if a rush job results in the same things happening anyway.

Welp, I guess the "Ocho Rios" controversy was just hot air. Day had Ticket #8 and one of the travel posters in the house mentioned #8 in Spanish. I'll be honest, when I saw Day in her track suit pre-eviction I was all "Oh, here we go... Day going back in!" I'm pleasantly surprised the Golden Ticket wasn't that obvious. Score one for Grodner... and coming from me that's saying something. On another note, one of the RHAP podcasts from this last week (Sunday, I believe) had Matt Hoffman of The Brigade as a guest and he named Michelle as the most likely to turn into a #NoonanSpiral. It refers to BB11 contestant Michelle Noonan who appeared meek and cagey on her season and after the show spiraled into drug addiction and failed marriage and softcore pornography and awful boob jobs and mental health destruction after the show. Combined with the weird edit BB18 Michelle got with the apples segment tonight I cannot unsee his comparison. When she gets out and discovers all of her former safe and sacred internet haunts like Reddit and SurvivorSucks have turned on her completely she going to have a complete emotional and unfortunate mental meltdown. I am categorically against the internet backlash poo poo that the cat ladies and really awful people seem to get off on with destroying ones character simply because they appeared on a dumb teevee show but I also cannot help but agree with Matt's assessment (an assessment he made before she ever entered the house). Nutritionist Michelle AKA Reddit still has "nut" in her title and I hope she finds solace after BB rather than spin out like a a former contestant with her namesake has done

Everyone operating with the "do what the house wants" non-strategy mob mentality makes for uninteresting episode watching. And as has been said many times, James has played before but learned nothing from his previous time in the house. Its like the paranoia of the game really speaks to the paranoia some people feel in their own heads at all times. I saw some really crazy poo poo. Like, you'd think that was comedy but this sort of stuff is all over the feed watchers' places. BB feedsters are convinced everything is rigged and everything is a grand conspiracy. I've really begun to think its not just people blowing off steam but is actually a sign that these people are probably a decade away from wearing tinfoil to fight off the government waves.

Z started this game in a great position, she appeared strong and fit and keenly aware. I dunno if Day clouded her head all up with Day nonsense or if Z suddenly thought she was on a different show called The Bachelor. Either way, she got way too comfortable and forgot to play a game week to week. It's sad because Z had high stock the first weeks but then it quickly cratered. Michelle has always been a mess.

Victor's speech was douchey but it only cemented how off balance Big Meech is. She played right into it and started the waterworks. And yes Michelle you are correct, you are the worst superfan ever but you'll have to deal with that poo poo after finale night. I hope you don't go #FullNoonan and at least have a stable of trusted people that will keep you far from the edge because you unfortunately are going to have an onslaught of haters (including your precious /reddit/) headed your way.

Next year - I want a season where the contestants are ALL former contestants who were evicted the first week in previous seasons. All the same level of suck. Am I the only one who is annoyed with Bridgette being stuck in 1981? I understand there are time constraints, but (during the HOH comp when people aren't locking in their answers) I wish Julie would calm the gently caress down.
