They need to either take the game less seriously and cry less when they get cloak camped all day long and have people constantly attack their sov, or they need to get more serious and realize that if they want to own space they need to only own enough systems that they can keep ADMs up, fly doctrines that aren't hurricanes (since they don't have the pure weight of numbers to make canes work), have a capfleet so that every fight can't be ended by someone bringing in a handful of supers/fax/whatever (we tried to form a full coalition wide capfleet for a few stratops. Since they were In EUTZ and rote wasn't there, we would get about 10 caps. I personally was almost half the capfleet), and have strategic assets like titans so their fleets can't get cut off from objectives trivially easily.

Since they refused to take the game of sov seriously enough to actually be prepared to defend it well, yeah they badly needed to take the game less seriously.

I think that fight club as an idea is great, since there are a fair number of people out there who want to get fights using 0.0 mechanics (bombers, bubbles, etc) that you can't do in lowsec, but who also aren't interested in the game of sov. Unfortunately since NPC nullsec has utter garbage for isk making opportunities, the only way to make fight club work is if they have some sort of patron that keeps whoever glances at the sov from being able to take it.

I enjoyed the "why are you attacking us? goons are in delve :qq:" argument that was used.

I enjoyed helping set up the Fight Club when Horde first moved into the region and I was still doing stuff with them, but holy poo poo some of the people leading those alliances are so mentally broken as people I'm enjoying watching them freak out more. The fear mongering they've done since Horde left has been amazing, its almost on par with HERO to some degree.

Spice World War II

We begged for a year to condense the non-gsf imperium into as much space as would be necessary to lead to a population density comparable to deklein, so yes, 1-2 regions beyond deklein tops. We offered to be the first to move to like a single constellation in loving pure blind if this was deemed necessary to get things going even :toot: It's not like this would have meant just abandoning all the rest outright, could still have "held" it as buffer space or vice royalties or whatever else fancy word might be found until someone attacks, but don't distribute the main living space of each ally so far apart

Pretending we had consolidated do you honestly think that the war would have gone any differently? Didn't the casino inject something around 12 trillion into our enemies?

12-14 trillion yes, so just imagine those 65,000 involved characters perched around dek/pb instead of the far-flung regions they had to assault

Try to find a single dead exe super or titan on the killboards. We evacuated 99% of our poo poo without a hickup. I also never claimed that it was just the evil gsf illuminati that didn't want to listen, it's just, between GSF directorate and the people behind the "take gates through deklein to evac your titans" strategy, whom would you pin your hopes on

the point is: the blob still wins unless you drop the fax/supers if they have more supers then you cant drop and you lose

it was always an unwinnable situation

Spice World War II
Jul 12, 2004
Yeah well 13 fantastillions or not, it's much harder to assemble that blob and keep it together long enough if you don't start the feeding frenzy by demonstrating how easy it is to attack the allies on the periphery for a few months who have to be bailed out constantly

Spice World War II
Jul 12, 2004
If overextension is a non factor I recommend taking Querious and Period Basis too, GSF should put lawn into Querious, Bastion into Period Basis and then stage an invasion of Paragon Soul via apiaries and hand that to TNT. I am sure it will all work out as long as lenny doesn't spend another 13 trillion

Here's another thought. Even if leadership agreed that consolidating would be prudent, someone has to take responsibility for making the call. Plus hindsight and all that. You can't ask a coalition to trust you based on losses that never happen. Hypothetical losses that you supposedly avoid just don't carry much weight. It's not like 2016 would have been guaranteed secure anyway. There would have been losses elsewhere.

There was some gameplay, too, so despite losing regions we got off light. I think.

You still don't get credit for things that don't happen. It's much easier to preserve your leadership credibility by letting a war convince everyone to move compared to asking them to do it based on theorycrafting.

Personally I haven't ruled out the possibility that powers-that-be wanted the war to happen for just this reason.

Assuming you are correct and everyone agreed with you, the only difference between what you wanted and what has happened was the method (now that GSF is in Delve).

Something that still bothers me is a comment Youtuber made about the meta, that most of us have no idea what's really going on. And yeah I think it's possible PL was paid by GSF to take part in this war, and the move. I just can't rule it out.
