Quake and I'll probably show my non-gamer friend it because I think it's that badass.

I started writing my Q's like the one in Quake since high school due to how badass I think it is... Hell just a shirt with the quake logo on it isn't even nerdy at all. It's just sick. Or like a picture of a shambler... Would be awesome.

I've never played much horror stuff, so it's really neat, especially coming right after Dishonored. Totally different approach to stealth.

I really enjoyed Alien Isolation but it definitely outstayed its welcome. It's like 15 hours long and I don't think any horror can last that long lol

I actually enjoyed the horror game that was that long, because I enjoyed playing it so much.

If I was a teenager when Quake came out I probably would have lost my friggin mind about it but there's no time like the present to buy a bunch of sick Quake swag.

I love it but I realized when I listening I need the quake sound effects reel playing in the background over it for the full effect.

The game soundtrack of Quake is sweet too. Just a bunch of low key industrial clanging and poo poo and distant screams...

It's legit unsettling. Especially when you turn a corner and a leaper jumps out of a dark corner and there's this wild screeching and roiling guitar work.

im getting near the end of Paper Jam. It's a great game but man it's unambitious. I'm climbing the snow mountain for I think the third time now, and the Lakitu center just dumped a shitload of the stupid paper Toad quests on me for no real reason.

the ultimate quake patch puts it back in, along with installing it as a modern source port

medievil holds up better than i thought it would

its fun and looks cool if you like goofy halloween styled stuff but doesn't control as well as a 3d Nintendo game of the same time.

UT always existed as a weird Q3 ripoff with worse physics, as I understand it. I liked 1v1 UT matches on PS2 but it doesn't even remotely compare to the original now that I've played it haha.

Do not play Quake using Darkplaces.

I played a lot of Witcher 3: Blood and Wine this morning but I think I'm finally burning out on the game after weeks of playing nothing else so I tried Savage Lands from the latest Humble Bundle and it... uh... I'm playing Witcher 3 again. Might go back and try a couple other games from the bundle like Space Engineers later.

Is that game any good? I really like exploration-themed games so it seems like it might be cool to play for an hour or two at a time and just look at stuff.

UT came out a month before Q3 actually, I owned both and I liked them both for different reasons but I played more Q3 overall.

It's ok so far. I was expecting it to have more of a focus on varied exploration and less on resource gathering, trading etc. which is kind of disappointing.
