I've been to an "Italian" restaurant where the sauce brought to mind the idea of tomato frosting.

If that wasn't ketchup, that meatloaf would definitely get a "would" after it's cooked. Swap it out for some barbeque sauce instead. Maybe add more brown sugar for an even coating.

Basebf555 posted:It probably wouldn't even taste that bad its just wildly unnecessary to add that much sugar. You need a teaspoon or maybe two at most. That's how my dad "makes" pizza sauce. He takes a jar of marinara and adds sugar (and water if it gets too thick) until you have basically tomato candy. It's disgusting. He thinks it tastes really good, just like from a restaurant!! My dad is from Italy, btw. I think he's just broken inside.

The partner (who is Swedish), my mother, my sister and I went to a Spanish-Mexican restaurant in town. Needless to say the Swedish take on Spanish-Mexican food is a bit disconcerting. In Swedish: In Nightmare English: The restaurant was fairly dark lit so I didn't get a good pic of my food but it was the most non-fried Chimm Of Changa I've ever had. The potatoes were good, incredibly Swedish but good.
