Battered cod or halibut with a fresh acidic salad on top and a sauce on top of that is pretty great. I prefer non battered but either works.

Because the frying is the vessel to eat the fish! If you're frying it you're losing a lot of the good fish flavor in the taco. If you eat a fried fish taco you might as well just drop fried batter in the taco.

Fish tacos are supposed to be light and clean and lemme just drop this fried rear end battered fish in here.

Chilichimp fried fish is great esp. with malt vinegar but it doesn't go in a fish taco.
