That last wedding picture was weird. The way Nate and Elena were positioned made it look like there was supposed to be a third person in it. Edit: Am I going crazy or is Nate look like he's slowly turning into Jeremy Renner over the series? Samovar fucked around with this message at 18:31 on Aug 18, 2016 |

RareAcumen posted:How, exactly? I'm not entirely sure what'd change from playing as Nathan to Chloe. Well, here's my logic: The Uncharted games are basically Tomb Raider, but with a male protagonist, so doing an Uncharted game with a female protagonist would be a bit redundant. Then again, the Tomb Raider games are basically Indiana Jones but with a woman, so the Uncharted games are only relevant because there aren't really many Indiana Jones games in the first place.

I love it.

Man, that really was the most convincing eating animation i've seen. Seeing Drake's normal life was really well done as well, and that whole scene with Elena seemed really natural and authentic.

I can't believe they managed to make a house seem actually real in this game. Also, that was some quality eating.

What did we, as a society, do to deserve naughty dog? I thought the house at the start of Last of Us was detailed and awesome, this is just... Jesus. All the little details, the warmth, the obvious joy and chemistry the VA's have, the gorgeous mocap, the loving EATING. Like, them just eating their little bowls of... Chicken pasta?... looked more real than what you see in some actual live action media. And I was getting all teary eyed too. Just... Nate is semi-retired, happy, in love, and content to live what ever is left of his life as it is now despite the occasional pangs of longing for the good old "lets murder truckloads of mans and steal treasure" days. Nate is a real people

Next to the wedding album is an ancient figurine depicting an elephant that is probably worth tens of thousands of dollars. They're using it as a bookend.

I think Chip and Ironicus were serious about how the Drakes pay for everything: when they get short on cash, they just sell off some trinket he picked up and get 4 or 5 figures. Actually, don't salvagers make pretty good money?

Drake was disappointed that all he found was copper but for real that much copper you would be rich if you sold a whole spool of that off to sombody.

I can't see such close companions totally falling out of contact for years, but Sully's still living the Sully life and Drake has settled down.

I'm guessing Drake is avoiding Sully and sternly turning down the salvage job because he just loving knows, instinctually, that he is a single false step from falling rear end-over-end into a perilous, life-threatening hunt for some obscure treasure somewhere He has to stay in the completely straight and narrow and constantly look both ways before crossing the road, otherwise otherwise a car called "adventure" will deliberately swerve to hit him Basically I think he's aware he's an action game protagonist at this point and is doing everything he can to avoid the plot to an action game

Love that chapter. I knew the moment I saw that Ironicus would be in love with it. A little off topic, but Chip and Voidburger, the Resident Evil 5 Gold DLC are on sale this weekend on Steam. You two been streaming co-op in that game a lot and mentioned not having bought it yet due to it being full price at the time.

From the sounds of it they're not even working Salvage on that one, they're being paid by the original owner to recover it. Also don't those tanks hold a couple hours worth of air? How'd Drake manage to get critically low scouting a presumably small search area (a trailer truck can only fly so far off a bridge) in a river? Probably hunting for treasures (love the arcade token).
