Didn't you read the annotations? The final game is actually super smooth and features all-original sprites, he just forgot to make a good trailer, check out his patreon for more info.

My guess is he made it with Construct or some other export-to-HTML engine and it runs even worse than it does in the trailer.

Gamescom in Köln (or Cologne for people with umlaut-disabilities) started yesterday for the rest of the week, and Nintendo is showcasing stuff there. Yesterday was the Splatoon ESL tournament, with an announcement that ESL will be hosting a Splatoon online tournament. Paper Mario: Colour Splash will be showcased in Twitch for the duration of the convention at 15:30 CET everyday, except on Sunday which is 14:00 CET. The new Pokemon Sun & Moon is presented today at 17:00 CET. Dragon Quest VII is shown tomorrow at 17:00 CET.

Currently they're showing Mario Party: Star Rush on the official Twitch Twitch stream.

Unfortunately with all these parallax layers you get a poo poo ton of shimmering pixels as you move around, and the translucency effect when you're behind layers appears to be glitched or something.

I'm digging the atmosphere and simple gameplay, but the choppy framerate and glitchy appearance are making it hard to enjoy

And quit holding out on the Pester Balls, Oak. I need them for triggering fancy shots by harassing wildlife :argh:.

That's the only one I remember. Is it the one where you go through a cave in a cart? I only remember it because you ran into Jigglypuff singing down there, and having no previous knowledge of Jigglypuff at the time, I thought it was the most hilarious, endearing thing.

It's the opposite - games like Ghost Babel and Snake's Revenge were never re-released due to Kojima but they might come out now that he's not around to whine about them.

They and most other publishers stopped putting out GB games the moment NES was an option. Konami especially had a lot of neat games I'd have bought: Ghost Babel, Castlevania Adventure 2, Operation C, Survival Kids, etc.
