I really need to know the rationale behind that stupid loving midwing. The MP4/11 had it too.

If you pay for Sky's F1 channel then you get F1 Legends and Architects of F1 also known as "Steve Rider pokes people with a big stick" . I have no idea and never will understand why he's not commentating instead of Crofty.

Unless you're thinking of the Briggs World Formula engine which is a finicky little pisspot. But I've literally never heard anyone say a bad thing about the LO206. Except maybe it's a nit down on power compared to like a ROK GP, or a Rotax or something. But that's why 206 tends to rum in it's own class. I think when people say its problem free they are comparing it to the old Honda which was a complete mongrel because I've seen them have just as many problems as Rotax and the difference in cost for engine replacement is almost immaterial unless you're running at a national level. The field for 206 is undoubtedly better but in terms of maintenance my perception is that the Rotax is easier/less work once you get the Evo poo poo sorted and you just happen to get three times the power.

Remeber how Last year Carmen Jorda was 12 seconds off the pace in the lotus simulator (http://en.f1i.com/news/40955-gp2-drivers-hit-out-at-carmen-jorda.html) just to put that in perspective Red bull put Newey and Horner in their simulator against DC... DC 1:17.960 Horner 1:20.380 Newey 1.:21.720

To be fair Horner was a legit race driver (well, anonymous Formula 3000 midpacker, at least) during the late 90s.

I would argue that being around 8 seconds off Adrian Newey rather negates that point though.

I think there's some confusion and 12 seconds is the time the guy who ran the simulator lasted.

Carmen Jorda (pronounced whore-da?) disputed that 12s number, said she was like 1-2s off Grosjean, who is by the way the Greatest American.

I had kind of forgotten about Jorda, I thought she sort of faded away. But I had to look into it and found the following: 2012: Debut in GP3. Jordá finished the season 28th (of 31 ranked drivers) in the driver's championship failing to score any points. 2013: Finished the season 30th (of 31) in the driver's championship, again failing to score any points. 2014: Finished 29th (of 36) Again failing to score any points. 2015: "Development driver" for Lotus 2016: She seems to be doing some Renault Sport racing. Edit, results so far. Am class: 8th out of 10 finishers, NC, 9th of 13 finishers. Endurance class: 7th of 7 finishers, 12th of 12 finishers, 7th of 11 finishers. The head of the FIA's Women & Motor Sport Commission, Michčle Mouton, described her as a "marketing gimmick". That's not exactly high praise from the founder of the organization that "aims to create a sports culture which facilitates and values the full participation of women in all aspects of motor sport". It's a shame, I don't know if there are any women at the moment who could legitimately compete in F1 and keep up with the midfield/back of the pack, but they must exist. It's too bad we're a culture obsessed with shallow good looks and lovely drivers like Jorda and Kvyat just get seats because they're easy on the eyes.
