I'm just now getting back in to photography after a good long 10 or so years of not really shooting any pictures beyond stuff on my phone and occasionally a point and shoot. My wife and I recently started getting in to hiking and the scenery has reignited my passion for photography. Of course 10 years without practice means I have forgotten most of the poo poo I have learned, so I am slowly getting back in to the swing of trying to remember all the little bits and pieces of framing shots, exposure settings, etc. We have only been out hiking a few times so I haven't built up a lot of shots, right now the thing I need to focus on most is setting my exposures properly, the below picture is one I took while in Yosemite and while it was taken at a bad angle with the sun facing me, it also isn't exposed the greatest either. I touched it up a little in photoshop, but there is only so much you can polish a turd.

I was contemplating how I wanted to take it while sitting in the car and waiting for a little bit of sun to rise, then hopped out and forgot to hit the park button. As I was taking the picture I heard the crunching of gravel, turned around and saw my car picking up speed. I barely got to it in time! To top it off, I threw my back out hopping into the car while it was moving. It was a great morning and a nice painful day of programming in the office chair. loving hybrids and their silence! Things I suck at:
