I unsubscribed a few months back, but I got an itch to start up again now that we're invading Delve for the millionth time. How useful are carriers/dreads/FAX right now? I want to know if it's worth the trouble of moving them, as I'd much rather just hop into a travel interceptor and fly whatever subcaps are available in the staging area.

Yeah, even at Google the engineers joke that 20% is really 120% time. You've still got a day job to do before you can spend time on your pet side project, and "side project becoming next big market" is quite rare. Eve Valkyrie would have died if it was a conventional PC game.

The alliance tournament acts as a broadcasted job interview so is a direct cause of Fozzie getting into CCP, and also the clear inspiration for the current sov system of "if we distribute nodes and make the antagonist stay within a specific location for the duration there will be an elite 10 vs 10 honourable gudfite in every system". It used to be good when CCP would use the between-fights period to get their devs in talking about development and occasionally unveiling new features, but now CCP has corporate ADD and are desperate to jump on every new bandwagon they see, they'll probably spend all that time babbling about Gunjack or some other fuckawful distraction they're making GBS threads out as their Next Big Thing only to sink without trace 3 months later.
