CommonShore posted:Apparently Bendo checked a kick and it hosed up Pitbull's foot or ankle or knee in some non-specified way. According to the replay, Pitbull lifted his leg to throw a kick and it hit some sort of invisible wall and exploded, so basically Jesus is real and won that fight for Bendo

http://xfcaustralia.cleeng.com/xfc-27/E843874434_AU XFC 27 is starting soon in Australia. The main event involves the tattooed man that Ben Nguyen beat up real bad. The only bad thing about this card is that Brogan Anderson and Nick Skidmore aren't fighting each other for the 'Most Aussie Name' title.

AJ McKee having 100% finishes is definitely one of the funniest things ever in MMA, he's got 5 so far while daddy only had 8 out of 29 wins. It took 18 wins for Antonio to get to 5 finishes.

remember when antonio mckee talked his way into the ufc after inexplicably not going to a decision twice in a row and said it was all a ruse and he'd been sandbagging for 50 years because he's actually the greatest fighter alive he just didn't want to show it unless he was getting suitably paid for it. then he had a dogshit fight against jacob volkmann and got immediately released. what a guy.

Joe Silva probably got a huge kick out of booking his debut against Jacob Volkmann knowing full well how bad McKee would look in losing.

Fun fact - Aoki was the lineal pride champion going into that fight, and then Nagishima lost his next hybrid mma fight, so that title went on a wild ride through the jmma ranks and Bellator and was unified with the UFC title when RDA kicked Cerrone's liver off.

The Pride lineal lightweight championship has like 3 different paths to it thanks to Diaz and Aoki. If you count Diaz/Gomi as a win for Diaz then GSP is lineal champ. If you don't then Alvarez has it by two different paths via Aoki. The hybrid fight path being the longest, funniest and therefore most correct one as it involves Kikuno, Saad Awad and Dave Rickels being lineal champs at various times.

A 4th path - giving Diaz the win but only counting the first Diaz-Noons fight because the second was at Welterweight - sends it via Josh Thompson to Giblert and then Bendo and back to Alvarez, meaning that the RDA-Alvarez fight was to unify the Pride lineal championship with itself.
