The Vuelta organizers should probably play the Jaws theme whenever they show Froome after he has been 'dropped'

Did nairo crash earlier? His jerseys all ripped up
|

Yep. And he's speeding up this hill like a madman.

Bert

Apparently. The French commentators were also surprised if I understood them correctly, so I don't think it was shown Pretty sure Nairo must have pushed Gesink off the cliff when the cameras weren't looking

drat that was a good show. You could see Quintana loving with Froome on the way up, setting pace, looking back, and then attacking again, trying to jam his power strategy, which Quintana and Valverde have been critical of recently. Still wasn't enough to cut into Froome's reserves though.

Not much, Bert attacked on the last climb with ~20 km to go and it obviously didn't stick. Looked pretty solid though. The sprint was weird because it looked more like breakaway attempts and the Belgian whose name I'm not going to try to spell won by like 2 bike lengths

Today, the breakaway is 21 minutes ahead. I'm pretty sure they just started side-eyeing each other with 30 km to go

Lol the peloton are actually cutting it pretty close to the cutoff time. That should be at around half an hour and they're at 7 km to go at 24 minutes down

Tinkoff out. IAM out. Bora-Hansgrohe in. Lampre-Merida splits into Bahrain-Merida and TJSport-Lampre. 18 spots down to 17. Which team gets demoted from the World Tour to Pro Continental? By performance I would say Cannondale, AG2R or Giant...
