Well Bottas' career is effectively over as well now. I can't see him beating Button over the course of a season.

Bryter posted:Still don't understand why he was ever hyped the way he was. It happens at least once a year: new driver has a fantastic race at the start of the season when things are still all out of order, or has a couple of semi-decent finishes due to external circumstances (like everyone's tyre wear models being wrong and the gambling team coming up trumps, or overtaking a sleepy old great into a corner, etc) and the commentators latch onto them as the "next big thing" Bottas did have some good quick races to be fair, but was that an indication of car engineering, team strategy, or drivers kill? Time really does tell. E: leaving typo in since we have just had the latest Brazilian f1 execution since williams offed senna simplefish fucked around with this message at 16:58 on Sep 1, 2016 |

Riso posted:Certainly can't be team strategy because he is driving for Williams. Williams have occasionally got it right and used to be king of the Pit Stops. Last year they were the King of strategy fuckups, and they still leave qualifying to the last minute, often to their detriment, but I think this years crown has to go to Ferrari for strategy fuckups, however Vettel is doing his best to fix that

You can't judge a team mate just because they've been beaten by Our Jenson, he's beaten every team mate he's ever hadquote:He added: "Let's say you put [Manchester United striker Zlatan] Ibrahimovic up as a defender, would he like it just because other people think he's a better defender? I don't think he will listen to those guys. If he likes to attack, he wants to attack." You what, Max

Lewis doing a pre-race interview to Will Buxton whilst chewing gum - aggravating Also Max gave total sandbag answers about his Spa race. Which leads me to the question for you all: which driver has consistently given the most honest answers to press questions? From let's say the 1990's era to modern day.
