mycot posted:I think I'm getting multiple webcomics confused again, is Strong Female Protagonist the one about someone whose sister is a famous superhero and I think has black and white drawings? And if it is, I'm guessing the plot drifted a lot since then. You've got the right comic, you just have a couple things mixed up. It did start in black and white and there was a point in the story where the main character--the famous former superhero--goes back home and talks with her non-super powered sister.

To try and get away from SFP, here are some Kickstarters. Our own Kate Ashwin is printing another Widdershins book, and there's less than a day to go. It's 300% funded. The Meek is printing its first volume, with 9 days left, over 400% funded so far. Chris Baldwin's printing Anna Galactic, 60% funding with 18 days left. He's also started a new Spacetrawler run. You only have 3 days left to get in on Bad Girls Illustrated Volume 3 (NSFW). It's 2500% funded, and who would want to miss those sexy bad girls, expert anatomy and flowing action? There's more than a week left for Rogue Salvage, which features realistically-proportioned cousins in non-porn poses, drawn by someone who certainly doesn't have a patreon or DeviantArt for big tits & hips/small head fetishists. Funded, so back now to have this masterpiece on your shelf! Dimention only needs an artist, a publisher, and a website! Brought to you by a "brilliant academic"! Somehow, Jeff McDermott only has $61 for his cutting, innovative, and expertly photoshopped political satire post cards! Note that the goal low enough that it might accidentally get ironically funded. Disappointingly, I'm unable to bring you any Pony projects.

I know Rich Burlew really likes being wordy but drat these last several pages have been really absurd, especially this one. It seems like a real waste of a page, though I guess he does have some absolutely nuts fans who would argue if he didn't explicitly spell it out.

Somehow 1000 strips seems like not much for the amount of time that comic has been running. I'm sure there were nearly that many when I quit reading it way back in 2012. Did they take a huge break or something?

When I made that Josh Lesnick post, I shouldn't have said that "Josh Lesnick is a pretty competent cartoonist, so why did he defend MoJ which I think sucks so fervently even if it gave him a bad rep" and instead said "Why does Josh Lesnick defend MoJ so much even though that's what Homestuck fans do when people say Homestuck sucks on tumblr and it gives him a bad rep," especially considering that he reads this thread. Sorry if I was being a douche. Either way I'm glad his response was p. chill.

Ague Proof posted:He has a condition that affects his productivity. The strip's always updated pretty much at random. Yeah he has a chronic health condition that seriously incapacitates him for periods of time. People think it might be something like Crohn's disease but I don't think he's ever flat out said what it was. Dealing with chronic health BS on top of everything else means Rich has a lot going in his life so it's no surprise that updates can be pretty slow at times.
