Did JJ Abrams ever explain why he decided Dr McCoy shouldn't wear a ton of eye shadow in the new movies?

My TNG Rewatch Wesley episode - skip Worf's Honor episode - skip Lwaxana episode - skip That one episode that has been re-ran 760,000 times - skip Wesley episode - skip

What's the deal with Klingons? In the first episode they're in, they're a expansionist military dictatorship obsessed with surveillance. But in TNG they're retarded weeaboo losers obsessed with "honor".

Maybe it's confirmation bias, but they always seem to re-run the worst episodes. I've never seen "the Inner Light" on a re-run but Farpoint seems on all the time. Although tbf, today I caught "All Good Things" on BBCA

Also, Klingons/Romulans were an analog to the Cold War. Once the Cold War was over the writers had to figure something new for them to do, so space samurai Vikings it is.

No, that is an acceptable Worf episode. the bad ones are him going to Q'onos or fighting holodeck monsters and getting pain sticks and generally being a boring bitch that whines about honor or abuses his son. Lord of Pie posted:So all of them then Nah, they re-run certain ones more than the others or at least they used to. So every now and then you'd catch one rare episode that was interesting or it would just be that "The children are kidnapped" episode or "Code of Honor" for the millionth time A distinct favorite of mine was that stupid goddamn episode where Troi floats around in the nebula and sees the two lights in the distance.

Romulans got to stay as intelligent villains, Klingons got turned into a species of morons.

They thought Gowron was a shape shifter because he was being so loving dumb and attacking the Federation and it turns out it was someone else and he was just a gigantic idiot. Then he starts throwing the entire klingon empire into the trash fighting "honorable battles" with no hope of winning for no reason other than "glory" and starts losing the war because he is a bitch idiot that can't get over needing glorious battles to sing about. All the klingons are fine with this except Worf, who oddly enough is 10x better in DS9.

Every so often he'd shift into another universe that gradually kept getting more and more different. I also like it, though it's a shame Worf only placed 9th in the Battleth tournament.
