Yes the video takes on more weight once you know how bad the guy got hurt. It's one of the most gruesome injuries I seen in MMA. But it didn't have the instant horror of Anderson Silva's leg snapping like a toothpick or Frank Mir breaking Nog's arm like a chicken wing because Nog refused to tap out.

I don't know, but the article said it was his sinus cavity that was caved in (there's a cavity right on your forehead). So it's possible that the cavity got caved in, but the skull over his brain is fine.

I read Ronda's book The real hero is her tiger Mom, I should look up some excerpts Some chapters were hilarious in retrospect about how she'd kill herself if she lost and stuff like that, how she was the Gandalf of MMA Etc Also the bits about her trainer are hilarious, he seriously is terrible and didn't give a gently caress about Ronda until he started seeing dollar signs Ronda thought she was in a karate kid movie where she had to prove to the master how serious she was, and Edmond sounds like he was just loving around Ronda is a nice fat 80's kid with an incredibly overachieving tiger mom and misguided loyalties

Reminder that tonight's UFC event will feature the glorious octagon debut of pro WWE wrestling legend and all-around badboy CM Punk who, if the footage of him sparring is any judge, is almost certainly going to get his rear end beaten from pillar to post by a younger, better fighter. Main card starts at 10:00 PM EST! Also the main event is a heavyweight title bout that's going to be really good if you care about fights that aren't celebrity freakshow cash-grabs nearly two years in the making.
