Legal Gas Dogs were actually a bad team, perhaps much like Ron Noid Golfers and Edwar D Gaming (doesnt need a fake joke name)

Its the most even field since season 2 I think. People with more CN knowledge than me proclaim the LPL the best thing ever, TSM is very clearly the best western team ever, Korea is Korea. On the other hand, the exact same things were said last year and look how that turned out

The de-emphasis on lane swaps and shallow jungle pool without any major reworks means this season it really going to value bot lanes more this season than it has in a World Championship in a long time. At bare minimum we're going to get a lot of really neat bot-lane matchups fighting for First Brick and you're hard-pressed to bet against lanes like Uzi/Mata. That said there's always some sort of weird drama about China around or at World's (Like Uzi almost refusing to play because he didn't like InSec, Tabe revealing a whole team's strats in the first match in a Best Of series, and all those Chinese teams seemingly trying to "hide strats" and two of them bumbling in groups and failing horribly)

I said they were the best team NA has ever sent. I think that's true. I think it's possible but unlikely that they can make the final 4, so they probably won't equal Fnatic or Origen's success from last year. The best an NA team has ever done at worlds in the 16-team format is Top 8.

I don't think any of the first 3 seasons are in any way comparable to the modern competitive game and I've been watching since early Season 2. Season 3's format was dumb and they invited some really bad teams who had no business in an international competition. Season 4 was the first iteration of what is the current format and the quality of teams in that tournament was way higher. Even the teams that finished with only 1 or 0 wins still played competitive in major matches. This year's field seems like the strongest set of teams ever assembled for a major tournament and it's the first time I've felt that there are teams that could have gone deep in the past years who probably won't even make it out of groups.

Remember the 20-foot-high minimap visible behind the players at all times during Worlds? Remember how looking at it during a pause just got you a remake and a loss of a ban? Good times. Classic league.

all i remember about season 3 was cloud 9 loving up two of their games at level 1 and somehow not knowing that fnatic would run teleport and SKT destroying everyone and annie support was created by a dirty turncoat cheater

rabidsquid posted:i am pretty sure he should be buying ohmwrecker instead of RG honestly only reason is because zzrot is built out of raptor cloak like ohmwrecker. You could switch in ohmwrecker for zzrot but Zzrot lets singed afk push/proxy. Zzrot gives you extra pushing power because this build has 0 ap normally so you need the voidlings to help push since q does little dmg. Could see it at worlds but I feel like laning as Singed vs Fiora/Gnar must be hell you pretty much need to proxy to avoid the laning phase. Looper is at worlds so maybe him and Cuvee will bust it out.
