I remember reading the original starcraft instruction manual that had all the backstory and thought it was the COOLEST poo poo that marines were "corrupted" and turned against their former friends. Little did I know that this would be the case for nearly every major character that would come after. Arthas-Corrupted Illidan-Corrupted Kerrigan-Corrupted Kael'Thas-Corrupted Widowmaker-Corrupted Its very telling that I thought it was the COOLEST poo poo......when I was 14. I mean he's contributed a lot for sure, but I also feel like he had a very distinct brand that they could have moved away from a bit.

 I got slapped into Platinum which I think is good? I lost four matches, won 5, and tied one but I got constant golds as Zenyatta, one time of which I literally had all golds, so I'm happy the system is based off of how you actually do instead of whether or not you rolled lucky for getting decent teammates. I was insistent on using voice chat to make things easier and I got placed with teammates who didn't even speak English sometimes.  I also got my partner in misery looking particularly evil.

That formula was only true briefly on PTR before they changed their placement algorithm. I suppose it's closer to accurate if you fell within 45-55 SR last season, and you're within 2300-2700 this season (which is most of the player base), but it stops being true at higher levels.
