idk, if i go somewhere with my laptop, phone, and kindle, that's three chargers i gotta take. now if i get an iphone 7 i gotta take a second set of headphones or a dongle. my car is small, i don't have room for all this luggage. it's hosed up imo!!

Stymie posted:let's suppose that a person with an iphone 7 wants to travel and has purchased both airbuds and other non-apple noise-cancelling wireless headphones iphone lightning cable charger airbuds airbuds box third party wireless noise-cancelling headphones third party charging cable the airbuds can be charged with the same lightning cable as the iphone, and all 3 can use the same charger, since it's doubtful you'd be charging all 3 at the same time. but by the point that you're bringing along extra headphones Just In Case you're already in massive edge-case sperglord territory and so it should be no problem to carry an extra dongle or whatever along with your 3 leatherman multitools, 2 flashlights, and the rest of your Every Day Carry loadout.

that's a pretty big assumption that you wouldn't need to charge things at the same time moreover if you didn't need to charge things at the same time that means you're charging them throughout the day which would be a huge inconvenience for all this wireless convenience especially while traveling basically the choice is between a carryon stuffed with cables or a constant need to stay near an outlet during the day

And so it happened that on a warm windy afternoon a woman strolled past the well-worn cafe table at which I sat. I had been there for a spell, attempting to put pen to paper (or, as it were, fingertips to keyboard) and enjoying the scents of the daytime coffee orders. She chose an enormous couch and extended the full length of the divan, completely motionless, with her chin raised a little, as if she were balancing something on it which was quite likely to fall. If she saw me out of the corner of her eyes she gave no hint of it — indeed, I was almost surprised into murmuring an apology for having disturbed her by approaching. She made an attempt to rise — she leaned slightly forward with a conscientious expression — then she laughed, an absurd, charming little laugh, and I laughed too and sat opposite her. “I’m p-paralyzed with happiness.” She laughed again, as if she said something very witty, and held my hand for a moment, looking up into my face, promising that there was no one in the world she so much wanted to see. Her face was sad and lovely with bright things in it, bright eyes and a bright passionate mouth, but there was an excitement in her voice that men who had cared for her found difficult to forget: a singing compulsion, a whispered “Listen,” a promise that she had done gay, exciting things just a while since and that there were gay, exciting things hovering in the next hour. We spoke of many things, both gay and sad and when the bell rang for the close of day, I could not bear to be parted from her. With a shy smile, she suggested the name of a small establishment that would not shut its doors til the sky grew light again. I glanced down at my Jet Black iPhone 7+. "I'm sorry, I've been listening to Neutral Milk Hotel over my Lightning Earpods while I've been developing Safari Extensions. I need to charge my phone." Her expression filled my heart with such despair that I offered, "Perhaps we could meet there? I just need to top up my battery to get through the evening." She nodded at that and before we parted, I set a reminder on my Apple Watch to meet there for a nightcap. I never saw her again.
