I can't believe the NX is just an app for every mobile/desktop OS because Nintendo doesn't want to pay the 30% the cut for Valve, Apple, Sony, etc for selling on their storefronts. I don't think going third-party suits them.

What if the nintendo nx is just the concept of "anticipation?" It's intended to always be in production, never released. Feels like that Simpsons couch gag where they rush to sit down but the couch and entire wall retreat backwards in space, forever, and they never stop running. Unrelated: that's my all time favorite couch gag.

Their franchises sell themselves. Also Gimmicks make it harder to develop for a platform, making devs less likely to want to or care to.
