Yeah, honestly, the whole thing feels a bit tasteless. Probably will give it a shot eventually.

Hard to say. The only remaining copy of the film remains under strict lockdown at a lawfirm, but I think interest for a drama take was spurred by the documentary being made, which in itself was a response to confirmation of the existence of a remaining copy of the tape, so...

That was pretty intense, huh?

I watched the Spawn movie the other day after having not seen it for a good long while now since I saw that Todd McFarlane is going to be on AMC's Geeking Out tomorrow. He briefly talks about his idea for the new Spawn movie and that got me all nostalgic for the 1997 film. But drat, those effects don't hold up lmao. I did cut a modern trailer for it, complete with BWAAAAMS and hard cuts or whatever. I picked the better looking CG money shots to showcase, haha.

I have a soft spot for this movie though, leguizamo is still amazing as the clown and while the effects are noticably 90s cgi, theyre employed pretty well. The shot you included of his face armor activating is dope.

Malebolgia looks amazingly terrible in Spawn. It's so terrible you can't help but laugh at what is essentially the big bad evil. So yeah, good call on not including him in that trailer.

That helicopter at the start is also pretty terrible CG and it wouldn't be so noticeable if they didn't have flashes of lightening. They were really sabotaging themselves with that one.

I wanted to open the trailer with a good establishing shot that had motion and a bit of dynamic to it, and that was the only decent one in the film lmao. There was a shot of that location from the exact same angle without the helicopter though, but there was little to no movement. It just looked like a still so I didn't use it.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE DEAD, MOTHERFUCKER?

Spawn the TV show was one of those things I always tried to catch on HBO as a kid but because I was a child and the only tv guide I had was that channel revolving bullshit I could never follow it very well. It was always weird and cool and probably hosed me up but I wish I could have seen the whole thing instead of bits and pieces before/after real-sex (which also hosed me up)

Working consistently in supporting roles in various productions, and voicing one of the characters from Ice Age. Also, John Wick 2.

He's also written and acted in in a bunch of Off-Broadway productions in recent times. He goes through periods where he does a ton of movie stuff and periods where he does hardly any.

He still picks up small roles from time to time (and is often a bright spot in any movie he shows up in). He had a small but awesome part in John Wick and frequently shows up in Brad Furman's movies.

Leguizamo co-starred in the second season of Bloodline which is the best TV show on (Netflix Original).

He's fantastic in Romeo + Juliet, Leguizamo and Harold Perrineau are the best part.

I've really, really enjoyed any time Leguizamo pops up in a movie these days. He was a wonderful surprise in John Wick and I even really liked him in the abysmal Kickass 2. In fact, he and Jim Carrey leave the movie around the same time and it takes a pretty sharp nosedive.

I worked on the upfront last year he did for Taxi 22. James Gandolfini tried to get that made for a long time and then he took over when Gandolfini died. He put a lot into it and it wasn't picked up.
