If I'm being honest I just want Dishonored 2 to be as much Thief 4 as possible - taffers, Benny, karras, the builder/trickster, you name it.

This probably isn't going to happen but a man can dream drat it!

He is. IIRC, the actual Weeper analogues in Dishonored 2 are parasitized by giant fantasy wasps that build nests in dead people. Six of one, really.

The actual actual Weeper analogues in D2 are all Coolguye. When they run up and try to grab you they stop a foot short and just flail for a few seconds.

Is the new one worth springing for, or should I hold out for markdowns + Director's Cut? We've been burned by Deus Ex titles before.

Also, has anyone else than ^, TLR, and Orv taken Fish Noise avatars? Because those are loving magic and as many as possible should be shared with the world. I'm combing through the thread now.

And because I figure Lowtax should have a good drink or something after what went down this week as thanks for this - uh?

What actually did that idea in was that I'm not inspired enough to come up with text for those that'd keep me from staring at the gif all day.

On the other hand, this game has so many great face frames.

Mankind Divided's twist on this is cute.

The first door you find is locked with a code and it's meant to be your introduction to hacking, but if you just input 0451 it opens and you get an achievement. Heh heh.

Why? I don't get what's so bad about having something so tiny and inconsequential be a callback easter egg for the developers. It' almost a mark of quality, too, it's reassuring to see it.

yeah i mean i can definitely sympathize with a bunch of old poo poo not needing to be in new games - the disappearing block patterns from GutsMan's stage comes directly to mind as something that haunted platformers and megaman knockoffs for loving decades. it wasn't good when it came out and it sure as hell wasn't getting any better with age. every time it came up and i bonked my head by mistiming a jump by a quarter second again i could just imagine the most nasally, acne-ridden nerd giving a shrill laugh and going "HEY. I'm guessing you haven't paid too much attention to the fangames thread, because at least half of what folks LP there are Mega Man clones and hoo boy do a lot of them reuse disappearing blocks. One fangame even had a level "designed" around puzzles incorporating them.

But yes, tradition + nerds can sometimes get weird.

I do wonder how they'll rationalize that with the ending of the Daud DLC. I mean, we're not there yet, but given how this game works I don't think it's a spoiler to say we're going to have to "deal" with Delilah.
