Did you do this at 2am? Yes, that page is where I went. After punching in all that info and confirmed I was eligible, it let me pick a carrier / phone / size / color for pickup. I forgot about reserving at midnight so I did it the following morning and still got a release date pickup. It was a matte black 7 128gb. I tried to get my wife's desired combo (matte black 7+ 128gb) and that was a "lol you're waiting 2-3 weeks good luck."

Yes to both. The Plus is usually less popular, but this year it's exceedingly more popular. That's why you'll have no problem buying a normal 7, but you'll have to have some luck finding a Plus.

I ordered a jet black 7+ as soon as the website started responding on the 9th (got a date of 18th - 31st October). Ultimately cancelled it on the 13th because I didn't want a greasy cheeto dust covered, scratched up phone in favour of the matte black (shipping date 6th - 12th October), and it's been processing for a week now. It's not like I even need the phone, I just *want* it. I have lived with the regret of choosing the iPhone 6 (non plus) for two years What a long two years it's been

At the trade in, it shows that the remainder loan amount was paid off for the 6S loan and a new loan was started for the 7. For my old 64gb 6S / new 128gb 7 the payment was identical. $96.50 first payment (upfront taxes and first month loan payment). $36.58 per month afterwards. It also did a hard credit pull for the new loan. Doesn't bother me too much but I think that might be a deal breaker for some people.

I've been obsessively  ing the reservation site trying to get my hand on a 7+ in one of the 4 apple stores in Toronto. Finally found a neat Python script that just scrapes the site and tells me what's available in the stores I specify. That way I don't have to refresh it as obsessively or get disappointed when it's only the 7 in stock.They really need to improve the site, though. I lost a reservation twice today because it kept logging me out and having me log back-in with 2FA.  I would order from my provider directly but me getting this phone is contingent on me flipping my 6+ ASAP to pay for a good chunk of it. I don't want to be waiting around 3 weeks with a huge hole in my bank account while TELUS waits to get stock.

Logistics on shipping are incredible. My watch was in South Korea yesterday, then Alaska, then left Alaska at 436pm. Got into Louisville at 430am this morning. Out for delivery in my area of PA at 739am. Even with time zones helping, its crazy to think how good shipping has become overall.

Personally I think Jet Black is kinda ugly and I'd rather Matte Black anyway  Especially considering part of the problem I had with the 6 was it was too slippery, and the 7 is basically the same form factor. So either way you're putting it in a case. What does it matter if your phone is glossy?
