I haven't been watching nearly as much anime as I wish i was recently, and I'm probably not now, nor have I ever been, alone in that sentiment ever, so let's go ahead and change that. Backlogs are awful, and yet somehow we all have like a hundred shows in them. So here's a thread dedicated to finally clearing the drat things out in a relatively fun way that the whole subforum can enjoy. Rules 1. Post a list of shows you've been meaning to watch. You must have at least five per list. 2. Tell the last guy who posted a list what to watch. 3. You must watch at least 3 episodes of anything you're told to watch. 4. You must post in this thread what you thought of it. It doesn't have to be some kind of amazing essay, just some of your thoughts or what you liked or disliked. 5. Let's all have fun and watch some anime!

Trip Report: Turn A Gundam episodes 1-3 So I tried watching this show a while ago, but then stopped a few episodes in for reasons I can't really seem to remember. I also didn't remember too much about the shoe other than something about moon people going into it. So far the show's off to a pretty great start. I'm liking the sort of weird 1900's aristocratic society vs futuristic sci-fi people thing it seems to be setting up a lot. Loran is also playing the displaced moon person role pretty well, and I like how he's adapting pretty well to Earth. The battle should be really starting up in the next few episodes, so I'm pretty interested to keep watching and see if the pathetic Earthling scum are able to somehow pull off a victory against these arrogant moonman assholes. All of this positivity having been said, I think I remember liking it up to this point before as well, only to start disliking it later for...whatever reason has escaped my mind. So here's to hoping the next few episodes will grip me a bit better this time around.

Watched the first five of The Rose of Versailles. Definitely going to keep watching this. I don't know how I'd sell this to someone else, but I'm very much enjoying all of this. As something of a historical buff and someone who enjoys a good gender role destruction, this does me good.

Ahhh I am waaaay into this show's style https://u.pomf.is/ucqusx.webm I'm really appreciating just how rough some of the stories have been in the first couple episodes, like with Hatchin's purely awful initial family and the Pepe Lima plot. Everything is incredibly good looking and pretty charming a times, and absolutely nothing about what's happening is good. A big part of me just wants to see the tough pretty lady go on some fun, if violent, criminal hijinks with her new sort-of daughter but I'm glad it's not giving me that. Man, those chase scenes in the first episode were sooo Lupin it was incredible. I love this loving weirdo and she's a crystal person, fantastic~ https://u.pomf.is/qgcdsl.webm https://u.pomf.is/kqrgad.webm 'Drunk' Hatchin is a wonderful thing https://u.pomf.is/wdenkv.webm https://u.pomf.is/byorpv.webm

I watched the first three episodes of Symphogear a few weeks ago. I thought the premise (idols fighting space aliens through ~the power of music~) was a little cheesy at first but it grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying what I watched. I haven't been able to get back to it lately, mostly because I have a lot on my watchlist this season and only a small amount of time to actually watch anything, but apparently I'm at the point where the show really picks up, so I have that to look forward to when I start watching it again
