This is actually a pretty sick fight. Like a labored straining and wheezing against heart disease kind of fight.

Chael is on MMA hour and it came up that a stipulation in his Bellator contract says if he fails a drug test he is fined $500,000 & entire fight purse, independent of athletic commission fines. Chael would be on the road to losing a poo poo load of money if Bellator ran shows outside of the eagle bear pueblo casino or wherever

Regardless of what sonnen decides to take, outright barring random testing, running on indian casinos and booking fighters for fights while under suspension is a greenlight for bellator to be the steroid league. There is no way for the other fighters under contract to interpret coker's actions in any other light.

Just doing quick searches, I can only find four state commissions (and one tribal commission) that have busted Bellator fighters: California - Mike Richman and Fernando (Bellator 137), Alexander Shlemenko(Bellator 133), Rob Emerson, Keith Berry, Nick Moghaddam, and Fernando Gonzalez (Bellator 127) Kansas - Melvin Guillard (Bellator 159) Texas - Kimbo and Ken Shamrock (Bellator 149), Joe Warren (Bellator 143) Pennsylvania - Doug Marshall (Bellator 109) One Tribal commission: Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulations in Connecticut - Emanuel Newton (Bellator 134) Anyone think of anywhere else?

I also find it entertaining that Bellator has popped more (or almost as many) people for pot and other drugs of "abuse" than for sterpods

It is, but I really did not like the ref stopping the fight at that moment in a championship bout. He could have let it go a bit longer. It looked like the champ was going to get a finish, and now there's going to be questions surrounding the bout. If they get into a clinch or a natural stall, then maybe call in the doctor, but they were moving and banging when he stopped it. The fight shouldn't be interrupted when someone is flurrying for a finish. If Round 5 of McDonald/Lawler 2 can happen that should have kept going.

I'm not a medical professional so I don't know if letting that cut get hit again was a risk they couldn't take or not, but it sure looked nasty once they cleaned it up.
