I was disappointed that I couldn't race my pokemon. Although given how fast Rhydon moved in the segments you could ride on him, maybe that's for the best. World's slowest races. "And they're off! Really. Honest, we mean it."

Personally I choose to believe that the racetrack was going to be an in-depth, highly realistic casino

I just want to know why, of all pokemon, did they choose the rock rhino as a racing mount? Why use this thing obviously built for strength and defense instead of speed when we have tons of other similarly sized ones better suited for that? Is there some portion of the race that requires climbing a sheer rock wall? Smashing through walls? Crossing fire? The possibilities are endless and yet nothing. Your XY mom was a famous racer of spiky rock rhinos and that had no impact on anything.

It's a bit odd that Rhyhorn is so slow. Apparently rhinos are pretty nippy when they want to be. Give us a fast Alolan Rhyhorn please. Also shows how often I think about Rhyhorn, his name just does not look right. Too many H's

Okay. It has taken me a while to get the courage to ask this: Why is the gimmick phone called the Holo Caster? Why does the man who wants to kill everything that falls in his vision of lower class give you the holocast-er?

I can only assume that if you have 3D on the holograms pop out of the screen and are meant to also be AR or something that sounds better on paper than reality. Dunno why Lysandre gives it to you instead of somebody like Sycamore though. But it being a disappointment is definitely in line with Team Flair.

By far the weirdest parts of X/Y are Sycamore trying to gloss over Lysandre saying really creepy poo poo. I feel like they were kinda toying with the idea of an evil Professor, or at least one conflicted by his relationship with the villain. Aaaaaaaaand then it goes nowhere besides bizarrely out of place genocide apologism.

Because I apparently had nothing better to do after work today, I watched all the Sun & Moon trailers again and wrote down all the Gen 1 Pokemon that appeared in their normal forms, i.e. those that won't get Alolan forms. Conversely, the following is a list of Pokemon that might still get an Alolan form. Surprisingly, not a whole lot of possibilities are left, given the size of the Gen 1 Pokedex. For the list, I'm going with the assumption that "regular" Pokemon can evolve into Alolan form Pokemon, as seen with Pikachu and Cubone, but not vice-versa. I'm also excluding all Legendaries and all Starters (we've only seen Charizard so far, but it'd be weird for Venusaur and Blastoise to get Alolan forms, but not Charizard). Anyway, here's the list: Weedle / Kakuna / Beedrill Pidgey / Pidgeotto / Pidgeot Ekans / Arbok Nidoran / Nidorina / Nidoqueen Nidoran / Nidorino / Nidoking Clefairy / Clefable Oddish / Gloom / Vileplume Venonat / Venomoth Diglett / Dugtrio Bellsprout / Weepinbell / Victreebel Tentacool / Tentacruel Geodude / Graveler / Golem Ponyta / Rapidash Farfetch'd Doduo / Dodrio Seel / Dewgong Grimer / Muk Onix Krabby / Kingler Voltorb / Electrode Hitmonlee / Hitmonchan Lickitung Koffing / Weezing Rhyhorn / Rhydon Tangela Goldeen / Seaking Mr. Mime Jynx Magmar Omanyte / Omastar Kabuto / Kabutops (I'm kinda doubting the fossils will get Alola forms though, especially since regular Aerodactyl was shown)

Ekans / Arbok Nidoran / Nidorina / Nidoqueen Nidoran / Nidorino / Nidoking Venonat / Venomoth Diglett / Dugtrio Bellsprout / Weepinbell / Victreebel Tentacool / Tentacruel Geodude / Graveler / Golem Ponyta / Rapidash Farfetch'd Doduo / Dodrio Seel / Dewgong Grimer / Muk Krabby / Kingler Voltorb / Electrode Koffing / Weezing Goldeen / Seaking Jynx Also I didn't think we'd seen Butterfree yet?
