Here's the full clip of Ron stirring the poo poo. Should be noted that Opie was pushing for R&F to be moved off the channel (Rawdog apparently isn't setup for their kind of show which is why the audio is an issue).

“I’m really happy to see somebody coming in and humiliating all of them. That’s basically what this is,” Mr. Norton said. “The equivalent of Trump winning is like a guy doing stand-up once and winning an Emmy for his open mic stand-up. That’s what it’s like. And the rest of the comedians are standing around and go, ‘Wow, we must really suck.’

“That would make all of us rethink our act, and, hopefully, it would make politicians do the same.”

Mr. Trump’s politics don’t concern him. “I just hate the rest of them so much, and he, to me, is a great revenge on the rest of them. I think he’s a smarter guy than people give him credit for, and I think he says a lot of dumb poo poo, and things he should say smarter and say better. But I’m voting for him because it’s the greatest ‘f--- you’ you can give to other politicians.”

Opie is all-in with his new afternoons gig.

e: Just listened to Jim & Sam talking about the Opie situation. It's so strange that their last contact was a text to Opie hoping his family was okay, and he found out what the last show date would be through email. As much as Opie claimed to be against the suits and totally hip over the years, that's the most corporate poo poo ever.

It really reminded me of the era of O&A from like 2005 to sometime in the CBS era when most of the show was just riffing on news stories. The only thing missing was Jimmy and Anthony going off on tangents about goodfellas.

Wow, Opie is a tool! It sounds like he was trying to move things around to save his tender ego and Ant getting fired was just enough impetus to do so. The way Jim and Sam were talking, no matter what Opie does he's going to be on his own and they're wiping their hands clean of him altogether. The only reason they're not giving him even more poo poo is because he still has to sign off on going to afternoon drive, not because he's actually going to be part of a show in any real way.

That said, ditching loving Ron to another channel with shittier quality? Being childish by filming a nearly-drowned-out crybaby speech in an aquarium? Good riddance, Op, nobody cares. The only time I've actually let the show run in the last year or so is when Jimmy and Sam were talking and even if it was serious and them being diplomatic by not being openly diplomatic was more entertaining. I hope Jim and Sam take off in a big way, and I don't think they won't. I just want Opie gone because he's an anchor dragging the ship down.

Opie's going full Fez.

Paranoid about conspiracies by his co-workers to get him off the show and alienating and distancing everybody who he once considered friends.

How on earth can he be surprised by any of this when he and Jim had a public spat during which Jimmy said he was done with the show in September. Interesting that Jim tied up his contract as early as he could instead of the ridiculous brinkmanship of Opie.

Glad they managed to get Travis onboard, quite enjoyed the nopie shows when Jim was in on his own with the staff. I don't remember hearing anything in that clip about e-rock though

Make a lovely passive-aggresive video full of vaguery then get mad at the people you slagged off addressing it.

They both said during that spat there was no chemistry between them and that Jimmy would leave at the end of the contract. Now all of a sudden he's surprised that Jim didn't want to still work 2 days a week with him. He seems to be upset that someone might sign a contract in advance to secure their future rather than doing some pointless posturing hours before deadline leading to no gain whatsoever.

Also how does he think his brand is worth anything near the last contract, let alone more. Lol that he got pushed out of his own branded show on his own branded channel, "management is happy with the direction of the show". Christ, even Fez managed to stay on the Ron & Fez show until he retired.

It's sort of a no-win in those terms though, because he could easily be blamed for no integrity if he welched on his contract and left Opie in the lurch two years ago.
