I mean I could have left Rashad Jennings or Corey Coleman or Jordan Matthews or Langford who are all not playing this week for various reasons slotted in I guess in order to guarantee I could flex Mike Wallace :shrug:

Huh? I just mean don't use the actual flex slot - not a flex quality player. Now if one of your starters is a surprise scratch or something you might not have anyone to replace them. There's no reason to use a flex spot on a Thursday. Landry should be in a WR slot.

He means put the Thursday player into a positional slot so you have more flexibility later in the week in case somebody gets hurt in practice or something.

No. Put Landry in your WR slot, since he plays first. Then if one of your other receivers gets injured, you can have the "flex"ibility to put an RB or TE in.
