On my recent TNG rewatch, I have come to like Pulaski a lot more. She got over her data hate and actually complained and disagreed about poo poo.

Uniforms that look like functional uniforms would show that these people still have to get their hands dirty and maybe belong to some terrible space military but starfleet isn't the space military, it's about peaceful exploration and these are simply trained civilians. With strict ranks, who fight wars, in giant well armed spacecraft (not military vessels though!) . They're also not soldiers, except for all the times they are.

I know it doesn't make sense but it irritates the living poo poo out of certain types of rear end in a top hat so I love it

I liked Pulaski and Crusher. Pulaski was a bit like bones, I guess that's what they were going for. Yeah I wish they could have worked her in as a guest star here and there after.

I'm actually surprised they let Pulaski get away with as much cynicism as she did considering human had probably transcended that like they did grieving and crying when your mom dies, being mad and basically everything else. I really don't know why Data wasn't considered more human than he was considering

I think the whole Pulaski-Data thing was supposed to replicate the Bones-Spock thing of TOS the difference just was that Spock actually had good comebacks and the two actors had chemistry. Pulaski just came across as an old woman who's needlessly cruel to an autistic kid which doesn't even notice. Data was so popular, I don't think it sat well with the audience. She wasn't a bad character they just didn't use her right.

i wanna watch a Next Generation episode to see whats up but I don't want to watch them all. They're on Netflix. Which one is a good one which is self contained and interesting sci fi story that will show me why the series is well liked among nerd? I legit just wanna watch one.

I'm really ashamed of the lot of you for recommending good episodes. This is not TV loving IV. If someone wanders in here and wants to get started on TNG, our suggestion is Code of Honor or the one where Alexander goes for mudbaths with Lwxana.

Every time. That is what we recommend.

whats the name of the season one episode where the ferengi are bouncing around like gremlins at rikers feet while riker folds his arms and looks up gallantly like a leninist ubermensch saying "i remember when we used to be like them"

start on that one
