On my recent TNG rewatch, I have come to like Pulaski a lot more. She got over her data hate and actually complained and disagreed about poo poo.

I liked Pulaski and Crusher. Pulaski was a bit like bones, I guess that's what they were going for. Yeah I wish they could have worked her in as a guest star here and there after.

Pulaski was pretty blatantly fem-Bones but that's why she was good

I'm actually surprised they let Pulaski get away with as much cynicism as she did considering human had probably transcended that like they did grieving and crying when your mom dies, being mad and basically everything else. I really don't know why Data wasn't considered more human than he was considering

I think I could consider Data human enough to date I mean first and foremost you can have Geordi program him to never be not in the mood secondly if you said listen just shut the gently caress up for a few hours he would so I bet he could build a deck or fix a water heater lickety split

I think the whole Pulaski-Data thing was supposed to replicate the Bones-Spock thing of TOS the difference just was that Spock actually had good comebacks and the two actors had chemistry. Pulaski just came across as an old woman who's needlessly cruel to an autistic kid which doesn't even notice. Data was so popular, I don't think it sat well with the audience. She wasn't a bad character they just didn't use her right.

Don't decide "well those were good I'll start at S1E1" because well man S1 is really bad. I don't think I've ever even ever finished Encounter at Farpoint. Then its the sex episode then the super racist one.

I think people were all super hungry for some sci fi when TNG came out, then they were like "whoa hey people are watching this" and had to step it up a bit

Watching Yesterday's Enterprise before you're familiar with the cast is a terrible idea. The Devil's Due and Who Watches the Watchers are good bets for introducing TNG.

the sweaters + studio lighting are probably the only things that kept Wesley from being fat like he is now. I didn't realize the thing I posted earlier was like a staple of his outfit, it's been so long since I've tried watching any S1

I'm really ashamed of the lot of you for recommending good episodes. This is not TV loving IV. If someone wanders in here and wants to get started on TNG, our suggestion is Code of Honor or the one where Alexander goes for mudbaths with Lwxana. Every time. That is what we recommend.

Lwaxana Troi, daughter of the Fifth House, holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed, is good times. Anyone who thinks she's annoying or does not like her DS9 episodes is a jerk.
