It's a fairly even deal, the more I think about it, but I'd probably pass. I am just not sure what to expect from Ladd this year. However, I have also been burned in the past by Duchene, in the sense that I have expected more like his near-PPG pace, rather than the player he has been the past two seasons.

I'd still be down for LSL if there's a spot but can't do Thursday, busy week. If people don't like Thursday there's the potential to do it Saturday after the LOLHL draft at 12:45 PDT? That's the only other day that works for me really unfortunately.

My friend in HHL is in a pickle. He picked up Sidney Crosby after Veskit dropped him on April 6th, which was well into the championship game. He picked him up for $56, which would mean his cost $67. Now, a few people complained when it happened, because my buddy picked up one of the best players in the league for a fraction of his actual price, and some people thought he should be ineligible to be kept this upcoming season. However, I think he should be able to keep him for a few reasons: 1. There has never been a rule in place saying this wasn't allowed. 2. People only complained because we are talking about Sidney Crosby and not, say, Matt Moulson. 3. Everyone had an equal shot at Crosby. My friend won with the highest bid. Ultimately, I guess it comes down to T-Bone's decision. But, I think he should be able to keep Crosby.

I don't think it should count and my reasons are: 1. The season was over when he was added 2. The reason he was dropped is stupid 3. It would unbalance the league 4. He's not my friend MagicCube fucked around with this message at 00:26 on Oct 2, 2016 |

I don't think it's really fair to let him keep Crosby due to the circumstances. If it had happened during the actual season, then sure, I'd be ok with it.

The guy who dropped Crosby didn't know the rules which makes someone picking him up and expecting to keep him a bit unfair

Thursday is better for me also. Would Monday at the same time as the HHL be too insane? My thinking being there's a lot of downtime in the LSL (obviously not in the HHL).

Might be tough since you really need to pay attention in both of those drafts. HHL for the actual auction, and LSL is so deep that even with a lot of downtime I feel like I spend a lot of it looking ahead based on what other people are doing. I'd still be up for giving it a shot though, at the very least we'd know if it's viable moving forward.

LSL on the weekend could solve the "long rear end draft that needs to work for people in different time zones" problem. The idea of doing both at the same time scares me, my lovely computer and my dodgy Internet connection.

My problem with weekend drafts is that a lot of people travel or have plans, and I'd imagine that's especially the case this weekend since it's Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday.

Oh right, forgot about that. If we were to try them at the same time, HHL should start half an hour early (or LSL should pause for half an hour but I dunno if Yahoo will let you do that) since that's the most important/busy part of HHL.

Yeah I'm still up to take any spots. The only draft times in the next week that don't work for me are Wednesday night because I have work, and Monday night I'm going to a concert. Sunday night might be a bit dodgy since I have another draft then, but I could probably work it out if need be. e: If the Mets win on Wednesday and then the NLDS goes to game 4, I'm going to have to work on Tuesday also, so I'd probably consider myself out for that until further notice just to be safe. So if there are any leagues with openings that aren't drafting at those times, I'd be happy to take a spot Teemu Pokemon fucked around with this message at 17:11 on Oct 3, 2016 |

Not to beat a dead horse (I am), but would anyone have thought differently if mentholmoose tried to keep Duchene this year? Similar situation, in that T-Bone dropped him (I believe) before the championship round, only he was picked up for a reasonable price. No one seemed to mind at the time, or notice when moose thought about keeping him earlier in the thread. I am only bringing it up now because I just noticed. I also realize it's a moot point, but I am just interested to see other people's thoughts. Maybe we should add a can't cut list for the playoffs, or something, just to avoid people dropping their star players who may be cold for hot players.

The difference, from my recollection, is that I picked up Duchene with the whole of the championship round left to play, and Crosby was added the last day of the season, so he couldn't appear in a matchup. The can't cut list could be a good idea, but I can't begin to think of a good threshold to use for it.
