Roots Picnic was pricey at $120 for a day for a lineup far less spectacular than Meadows, but it being opposite Ye and Chance kept all the young folks out except me (i was like 50% there to see David Byrne lol). It ended up being chill as gently caress, no pushing, short lines for everything, great sight lines, could get a dope spot by walking up a minute before every set but the headlining (which was only like a 15 minute wait) I'd have done meadows if I had a good crew to go with or ~artist passes~ but holy poo poo following it on twitter it sounded like hell on earth

TH3 was the album that not only got me into Gucci, but it made me see that i was mistaken in dismissing trap as something too shallow for my grand intellect. This was the year that got me into Gucci. 2010 had Mr. Zone 6 which is another flawless tape by Gucci. Oh and Burrprint 2 HD, which is really loving great. Jewelry Selection had some good songs but not like those first 2. Also The Appeal came out and wasn't very good. But I still had a ton of old Gucci to listen to so I was cool.

I got into Gucci in early 2013 when he put out Free Bricks 2 with Scooter, then 2 weeks later he dropped EastAtlantaMemphis with Dolph and Trap Back 2 at the same time Then 2 months later Trap House 3 came out and 3 months later, WW3 What a time to be alive that was and I didn't even realize it at the time

That whole interview was a good look. It's amazing seeing the hero's journey through hip hop in different parts of the world except Australia while growing up. gently caress yeah motherfucker GUWOP. The hustle with oj juiceman as kids recycling cans and helping people with grocery was legendary. This interview made me all misty eyed.
