Senate numbers from Q's latest round of polls.

It's worth noting that Q, for whatever reason, has seen PA fundamentally differently than every other pollster all cycle long. My gut instinct is that they're wrong, but we've gotten a McGinty +7 and a Toomey +8 poll from two polls that were in the field at the exact same time.

That NC race is tighter than I thought it would be too. Hillary coattails maybe? She's kind of overachieving in NC right now.

And PA will come down to turnout. The people Hillary gets to the polls won't ticket-split, I suspect.

Dude is basically a Republican who's only a Democrat because of his father. He was a very conservative Democrat who retired in 2010 and now wants back in because reasons.

He'd won every single Senate race by crushing margins by coasting on his last name, despite being absolutely useless in terms of voting in the Senate. The only reason to hope he wins is because it's +1 to the Dems in the Senate.

In more VT downballot news, Peter Welch is on the ballot as a Democrat and a Republican this year.

quote:

Fear not, Democrats. It turns out Welch, the Green Mountain State’s lone representative, will be on the ballot this fall as both a Democrat and a Republican. A write-in campaign for the GOP nomination was launched on his behalf without his knowledge, and after coming out on top, Welch accepted.

“Obviously, there’s no secret about where my policies are, where my voting record is,” Welch said in an interview. Without a hint of sarcasm, however, he added: “I’ve accepted the Republican nomination [and] I’m pleased to have it.”

As of the last census Buffalo's population was still dropping , as is the metro as a whole. Population peak for western new York was back in the 70's. The area is definitely better off economically than its been in years. And maybe next census will show an increase, or at least stable population.

On another note, I keep forgetting that we even have a Senate election this year. Schumer is the pandering king and has the seat on lockdown for life.

I'm sorta glad Clinton pushed for the DNC to not associate the GOPer in Congress with Trump. It let them get chummy with Trump and now that this happened it's going to be used to bludgeon them in ways that we might not have seen before.

Sure, she might've done it for triangulation and bipartisan ideals or whatever, but now? Ayotte, and others, are going to get bashed for this non-stop until the election.
