It's pretty loving obvious at this point that Trump support is pure tribalism. People want the 'R' to win and they don't care who it is or what he says. If 'R' is losing then gently caress those oval office rear end motherfucking traitor bitch shitbird motherfcukers!!!!

Anti-science positions upset me more than just about anything in politics because it's not even politics. It's just idiots politicizing reality. GMOs mostly just bother me because of the related loss of genetic diversity in our food crops, because that makes our whole food system more vulnerable to sudden collapses (see Gros Michel bananas) and also because cultivars which took thousands of years to develop are going extinct on the daily, but I understand that 1. this is not exactly a common complaint and 2. those problems also exist with regular factory farming to a different degree

The cultivars are completely infertile and have to be propagated by grafting. They're even closer than clones; they're literally pieces of the same plant. All the banana plants we harvest from are like a swarm of human-transmitted parasites growing on the commandeered corpses of other trees that all split off from the same original organism. That's why a banana disease can annihilate a cultivar that's weak to it. The fields of Gros Michel or Cavendish are genetically and literally the same, original plant. They also only occur like they do because of triploidy which is kind of a plant birth defect like chromosomal trisomy in humans but I don't remember the details for that quite so well.

They are both at less than 30% name ID because this country is full of idiots. The goal will be to make him defend Trump statements and then point out his record of being a social conservative shithead on gays, women in the military, gays in the military, abortion, marriage equality, etc. Kaine wins if he can paint Pence as an extreme social conservative, a record that he is extremely proud of and will have trouble running away from. It's all about keeping educated voters from fining Pence sympathetic.

Clinton was in the Senate during the Bush presidency, including the last two years where the Dems controlled both houses of Congress. The actual answer is that she would never, and will never do anything to stop the wealthy from scheming the tax system, and she is only talking about it now because it will help her campaign with no real cost to her politically.
