I think pence came off as more professional what with kaine always interrupting but that kaine actually had more valid points and facts and wasn't a bigot, so it was kind of felt like a real life version of this

In the post-debate clips shows Kaine's actually coming off better, he was clearly throwing out sound bites rather than actually attempting to debate. Pence's stance on abortion sounded like the only thing he actually believed.

Sorry I didn't do my duty as levelheaded trump supporter for the night, but my takeaway was that Kaine did better and then it immediately switched to CNN harping on pence. I also thought Trump killed the first one so I guess I'm just terrible at determining these things.

Like, the only part that I thought Pence did well was the faith bit at the end because he's a huge shitface, but he believes in his faith.
