nah, toriko kept mentioning the gourmet world from very early on. toriko even visited it briefly years before hxh ever hinted at its equivalent. the bit where the human world was just a tiny area came up about the same time in both series, though.

Yeah the concept of Gourmet Hunters in general is what I was referring to - I haven't watched Toriko nor read to the end of the manga to be able to speak on anything else.

If she began to talk, the Judgement Chain would have killed her before she could fully explain. Her bullets allowed her to instantly send all the information at once to a number of the Troupe, giving them a clear picture of what was going on. This was vital cause the biggest danger to the Troupe was being destroyed via internal conflict. Plus, if the Troupe had attempted to find Chrollo and meet with him, Chrollo would have died as a result of the second clause on his Judgement Chain the second they met.
