FFS, when are content deliverers going to loving get it? Look at Netflix, we're happy to loving pay if you give us the chance!

The hilarious thing is, in America anyway this is the first time we can watch it without pirating it.

At least with the original music and everything.

Geographical restriction on content is understandable when it's the messy showbiz world with different distributors, deals and power balances. But when it's THEIR OWN show, there's no sense in why Amazon won't offer it globally on day 1.

I guess the reasoning might go something like the show can be streamed by prime customers only, prime means free overnight shipping, we can't ship overnight to country x so country x can't stream a show on the Internet.

FFS just make it available in some other way then! Or expect GoT levels of piracy.

You can get Prime to stream 4k? Prime shits itself trying to even do 1080p for me. I have to turn it down to SD to keep the audio from constantly desyncing.

Not sure what the issue with your setup is, but Amazon has been as flawless as Netflix for me across a wide range of devices.

I mean, I do have a symmetrical 75mbps fiber connection (FiOS) but other than that, there's nothing special about my setup. All my devices are on Wifi even.

I exaggerate, April 2017 seems more likely.

I love the correlation of Australia's lovely ability to get shows at the same time as overseas, and coupled with our lovely internet infrastructure. We either wait for TV broadcast or wait for a torrent to eventually finish.

The NBN techs had been digging up our street for the fibre and Telstra had a tent set up last week to raise awareness that the new network is ready. Bullshit, literally 2 blocks away and I don't have access. The NBN people were outside my house laying fibre. :(

Regarding downloading something to completion before watching, I've always just streamed Amazon Prime (or just rented movies) but I know on Amazon Prime music you can download whole albums to your mobile device so you can play them where there's no internet. They should really just do the same thing for video. If you're playing it through the app instead of just the website, it seems like DRM would be no problem so why not let people with poor connections just spend the time to download 1080p?

I had the god drat fibre terminated in the NBN pit out the front of my house with a conduit going TO my house with a stupid taunting orange draw string for 3 months after I moved in before they came back and actually turned it on...

Tho now I actually have the NBN everyone should have- 100mbit fibre!

We'll have two Top Gears now, and they're not airing at the same time. Having separate threads would be pointless and just mean alternating threads to post in based on whichever Top Gear is currently airing. Maybe renaming the thread would make sense, but not making redundant threads.

Next season is Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid, plus some appearance by the other two people. Compared to the first new season, it has the potential to be pretty good.
