I think it's more about the fact that they still have to shove Chinese (in this case, culinary) superiority into a conversation, to get the last word in even after their precious 5,000 year high score is recognized as having been bested. Also... maybe, just maybe, the dawn of semitic history and its lack of Chinese food wasn't, like, the worst thing the Jews as a group have experienced? e: Yes i get that it's a joke Murray Mantoinette fucked around with this message at 04:10 on Oct 8, 2016 |

GBS China thread green text: Be me, Chinese man or woman of any age and from any part of China. In China we have Face culture. It makes us very unique. Be really good at it. Totally amazing at saving Face. One day get into an argument with a friend about something. Face doesn't allow me to be wrong, even if I am actually wrong. I have two decisions to choose from. 1) Tell friend I am sorry and admit wrong doing, repair friendship, go forward as friends. 2) Ignore friend from that point and never talk to him or her again because it's easier than admitting I am wrong or saying sorry. Decide to choose option two, because I am really awesome at Face. Never talking to that friend again is really easy. I can't believe the rest of the world doesn't have Face culture. It owns so hard. Foreigners are stupid. They don't understand how unique we are, along with our Face culture, which is superior and 5000 years old. Edit: Someone said or did something I don't personally agree with. Actually, I don't understand it at all. I might make a fool of myself by trying to discuss or learn something that I don't know about. If I don't know everything in the universe, I lose a LOT of Face. Feelsbad.exe I have three options: 1) Let it go, because it's no big deal. 2) Try to talk to the person, have a discussion, learn something new, see a different view point, etc. 3) Call the person names and bad words and then quickly ignore them and/or run away. Since I am the master of Face, I chose option three. What idiot would not choose option three? Likeaboss.pdf Edit again: I hosed up. Big time. Ok, maybe it's big, maybe it's small. The point is a screwed up. I can't admit that because of Face. Taking responsibility for my own actions in any facet of life in China is a huuuuuge nope. I have one option: 1) Blame someone else. Phew. What a close call!! People almost knew I screwed up. Haier fucked around with this message at 04:30 on Oct 8, 2016 |

The Jews are also wrong about their calendar and a recognizable Jewish culture distinct from other Canaanite and Pre-Canaanite traditions didn't emerge until roughly 800 BC, 2800 years ago. They're both wrong about their start dates because they like to act like their modern culture is older than it actually is, like they're Australian Aboriginals (60,000 year tradition) or Mbuti and San (150,000 years).

There was a whacky chinese chick at my work that would send me lots of late night texts asking how to find a man to marry her and who also kept trying to get me to go get a sperm count test and show her the papers because she really wanted that hybrid baby and would get super mad if I ever mentioned using condoms. Well a while later she had a minor fuckup at work, nothing too huge, I pointed it out to her over wechat as I was correcting it just so it wouldn't happen again. She didn't reply and whelp she called in sick the next few days and then quit. I message her on wechat asking about it and that's when I found out she had blocked me. I didn't bother calling her or anything because lol wtf. She is a face master.

Fojar38 posted:What is social innovation A Pinball Wizard posted:ok but wtf does this even mean From the EIU: "As a relatively novel concept, it lacks an established definition. Most broadly, it can refer to new services and products, or new processes, rules and regulations, that help meet a social need--for instance reducing the number of homeless people on the streets, keeping children in school, or ensuring commodities are produced sustainably for fair wages. The benefits of social innovation, wherever it arises, accrue to society as a whole rather than individuals, although in some cases socially innovative projects can also produce profits and investment returns."

I just wanted to dump on China, and not starting a whole thing. Here, have some Chinese tourists instead. quote:Over the National Day holiday, more than 100 Chinese tourists were denied entry to the popular South Korean resort island of Jeju. Tourists claim that after being denied entry they were told by customs officers that they could either purchase new tickets back home or wait for their return flights inside the airport. https://forums.somethingawful.com/newreply.php?action=newreply&threadid=3790448

Reasons my girlfriend is angry today: She wanted to go for breakfast when I was still asleep, was woken up by being shouted at for being lazy. Got up and ready and had to wait 45 minutes for her to get ready, she changed shoes 11 times. She has 4 pairs of shoes. She had a stomache ache and wanted to go to the TCM doctor, I told her there was nothing wrong with her and he would just tell her to drink more hot water, he told her there was nothing wrong with her and to drink more hot water. I've hurt my knee and she wanted to spend the day walking round a crowded park, I am very selfish for not going to the park.
