Last week I started a defense thinking they would easily handle Iowa State. This week I started a TCU wr against Kansas. Since he had over 200 yards last week against Oklahoma. Kansas held him to 18 yards and is beating TCU....... how wonderful

Well drat. That was a meltdown of epic proportions from my entire team. QB and #1 WR gave me 19 total points as they gave up Oregon State's first conference win in 2 years. Well done Jabro on demolishing me. Wasn't even close. e: we lost our other undefeated team tonight as well as Rich Rod's Rage Face went down to Quandary and the Alabama defense. I have a scheduling proposal for next season which another one of my leagues does to make the divisions more meaningful: 2 games per week. with 11 weeks, that gives everyone 22 games during the season - this way we can play our division-mates twice and *almost* play everybody else once. If we did two games per week over 11 weeks, it would leave us with only one missing non-divisional matchup for the season which isn't perfect but fairly close to it. Thoughts? Maybe we could also think about doing a smaller keeper league (maybe like 12 teams with several additional bench spots, but no AAC or MWC players for balance) on the side with the posters who have been active throughout the seasons? Couple other things that have been floating around in my head: - Removal of the TE slot and making it a WR/TE-only flex slot - Addition of another WR slot and/or flex slot - Locking playoff-eliminated teams out of the waiver wire

I like the 2/week idea, though I wonder if Fantrax would even support that. Keeper league would be interesting, but I dunno if I'd have time for two college leagues. - Keep the TE slot. It's worthless, but that makes me happy. Making it a WR/TE would mean that no one even messes with TE's. - Keep the positions as they are. Players blow up so often in this league that another WR/Flex slot would just increase the likelihood of that happening. While it may be an equalizer, it's more likely to spread out the good, deep teams from the ones that are just trying to be competitive. - Non-playoff teams need to play the game just like anyone else. It makes it suck if you're fighting for seeding (or the last couple of playoff spots) and the other team around your seed is facing an eliminated team that's not even trying anymore. I think the one thing you could do is go back to the old style of rotating waivers instead of waivers by rank, that way the eliminated teams don't always get first waiver pick over playoff competitive teams.
