If a VW had a fragrance dispenser what are the chances it would seep into the coolant system?

This might be terrible car stuff, but I can't quite figure out what this guy's angle is. http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Porsche/911/LONDON/Ontario/19_9831582_/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=1_15_1 I've seen this same car posted 3-4 different times on different websites over the past few days. He keeps adding it with a different phone number and usually a $100 difference in price I know this is a scam, simply because there is no way anyone would sell an early 80's 911 for less than $20k But what is this person getting out of the scam... ? I just can't find the angle that benefits a scammer here

Stopped behind a BMW E36 318is today. It had a sticker pointing at the exhaust tips that said "Prius Repellent." Also he had an ///M license plate frame so I'm pretty sure it was an M3

If you get to test drive a 911 and are t flirting with the rev limiter at least once on every drive, you're doing it wrong.

wargames posted:https://www.japaneseclassics.com/vehicle/1991-mitsubishi-delica/ this does not belong here but drat is it amazing. It definitely belongs here. Look at that rear suspension - those are like 3' spacers on leaf springs! Granted, they used lateral links, but great Googly-Moogly! it *might* be OK with about a foot less lift and done correctly. For one thing, since they literally just lifted the body (note the drivetrain hanging out there under the van), it gained exactly zero ground clearance, so it is entirely style over substance, and thus, perfect for this thread. Holy poo poo, I just saw an SUV with that kind of set up on my drive home this evening. I was behind them at first and silhouetted by the sun, it looked like the walls of their tires had somehow dry-rotted apart. I pulled next to them to give them a heads up, but when I got a good look at them, it was actually the rims sticking out past the super thin tires and almost making contact with the pavement. On a show car that's kind of impressive in its own incredibly stupid way, but on a road car in Pothole/Train Crossing Central

I'm proud of the fact that I learned to drive stick in my scoutmaster's Yugo in the early mid-90s. I'm as amazed as you are that any are still around. His passenger floorboard was littered even then with parts and bits of trim that had just fallen off of it.

Unfortunately they're designing these things to appeal to 20 year old kids. Now if that generation thinks they're ugly, then yes, there's a problem.

Edmunds just recently finished a long-term road test of a 1989 Yugo, it's a pretty entertaining read: "Just like that, the Edmunds Yugo Era is over. Our expectations couldn't have been lower, but the Balkan Bullet exceeded them by an almost inconceivable margin. It cost us $950, won first place at a car show, sold for a 132 percent premium and didn't strand us once, despite the ailing carburetor's best efforts. It was as much a goodwill ambassador as a member of the long-term fleet." http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/long-term-road-test/1989-yugo-gvl/wrap-up/

I have fond memories of going to a pick-n-pull with my father for parts for my first car and encountering a Yugo. He's yugoslav-born and as soon as he saw it his eyes lit up and he had to inspect everything. Eventually he repeatedly poked a paint bubble into a fist-sized hole in the rear quarter area and proclaimed 'This was a good one!'

I bet you make it with 20km still in the tank, especially if you drive it fuel economy consciously.
|
# ? Oct 12, 2016 23:42 |

Use all of the gas wildly accelerating towards your destination and then coast to victory once the tank is empty.
|
# ? Oct 12, 2016 23:51 |

Use half the remaining gas accelerating constantly until you're halfway there and then the other half decelerating so that you reach 0 just as you hit your driveway.
