beep by grandpa posted:I remember Kreischer and Jay Mohr had a dumb little feud a bunch of years ago over a Tracey Morgan story. No idea what the status of them is right now but it basically all came down to Jay Mohr being incredibly insecure, anxious mess who takes everything super personally for no reason. Burt once told Jay a story about going to a club with Tracy Morgan, where the punchline is that Tracy starts a fight in the VIP room so he gets thrown out and it ends with '...and that's how you get out of paying the bill.' Jay asked if he could use it on stage, and Bert said yes, just make sure you say it happened to me. Jay did so for a while, then decided that 'this story happened to my friend Berf Chrysler' and the third person POV was too tedious, and changed it to be his story. And then Birb found out and they were mad at each other. #bertisfat

Jay did come clean afterwards and give credit, admit to using it as his own and owned up to it.

You just start by saying "So, my buddy pulls me aside and tells me ... 'yo, you'll never believe this,'" etc., then tell the story in first person. A three second framing device would resolve the issue -- he just wanted credit for the story.

Jim was pretty argumentative for the first half of today's show. Nancy Grace walked out on their interview and the main guy from The Night Of got into a fairly heated argument about Trump with him.

I don't like Nancy Grace at all but that really was a bumbling gently caress up of an interview and did come off as a witch hunt, which is ironic considering who she is

I hate nancy grace but I agree with the poster above they could've definitely buttered her up a bit for a while first to gain her trust/let her guard down and not just come out both barrels blazing. That was a dumb move but then again it's nancy grace who cares. I forget what I saw it in but prob my favorite jimmy line of all time was "Have you ever heard what you do if you have an erection lasting for more than 4 hours? Imagine Nancy Grace dying in a fire, it'll last for eight."

It was hostile from the start, but she melted down super easy. You could hear her getting all whiny even really early on

Not sure how it seemed like a good idea to Jim to open up with how much he doesn't like Nancy Grace, let alone Sam deciding to go with it and crusade for wrestlers, but damned if the resulting melt down of a hateable person wasn't hilarious to watch. Much better than placating the usual hucksters for snooze radio.

It was good radio and gently caress Nancy Grace, but it wasn't an legitimate interview of any sort. They jumped at her like a partisan congressional hearing grilling their opponent for any perceived weakness.

Every news outlet capitalizes on dead kids. She was just incredibly more blatant and obnoxious about it by throwing a hashtag on the corpses. Again, gently caress Nancy Grace, but she might be the easiest target imaginable for that very reason. And wasn't that Jim's excuse for not going after countless other lovely guests? The whole thing felt like they were trying too hard to get a reaction when they didn't need to.
