Perplx posted:adjusting brightness is definitely more error prone than in ios 9 agreed. sometimes it decides that you mean to swipe over to the media side when you want to change brightness and you just can't change its mind without dismissing the dock and bringing it back. not an issue in ios9 because there was no option to swipe to another screen.

i'm going to be charitable and assume that the only reason why apple even had a self driving car project started was to appease some stupid shareholder demands until they lost interest and squirreled onto the next hot thing (iot most likely) not even i think tim is dumb enough to try to get into the car business in earnest

I think they made an honest effort at seeing if they could make a car but once they got into it realized it wouldn't be worth it and canceled it, the only difference is that apple is one of the few companies that doesn't accompany their research projects with a full pr campaign it used to be you'd never have even heard about it but nobody's afraid of leaking apple biz any more

Shaggar posted:Ar sucks but it works.with embedded gpus actually ar is very good because it can be made of small static assets so it can be beamed wirelessly from a controller to a lighweight pair of glasses that only need to do an okay job of inside out tracking to place a static HUD and maybe a window somewhere in space, and since you don't expect it to be animated and it only occupies a fraction of your fov it can be low fps without making you puke

that isn't a valid SSN issued for 1955. before 1965 only odd numbers between 01 and 09 and even numbers between 10 to 98 were assigned to the group number. 551-23-xxxx would have been issued in CA in 1973. so unless he waited until he was 18 to register for a ssn (which i guess is possible?)
