Crabawler evolves into a yeti crab. I did not expect that but I'm glad it does. EDIT: Honestly I'm fine with the small number of new pokemon because yeah most of them are great. The execution of Alolan forms is so underwhelming though that I'm really let down by it. So many gen 1 pokemon ignored.

The alola forms seem to be going to pokemon that either haven't gotten any love over the years (No type changes/new evos/etc) and who could really use the remix/buffs so that in mind: Cloyster, Starmie, Tentacruel, Dragonite, Cleafable and Electrode are all actually good and probably weren't considered for form changes since they're solid as is. Jynx has a baby and Aerodactyl has a mega. Farfetch'd and Ditto are gimmick pokemons so you wouldn't see any new forms for them. They were also probably not going to give a new form to any pokemon that had its type changed last gen since hey, that's kind of a new form anyway since with those new typing and a new gen came new movepools anyway so it would be better to spend time on pokemon that need it. That being said a lot of those pokemon lines do need some love and I'd like to see something for them in the future, but I'm okay with only getting like 10 regional lines at the start because it means there's more room for actually new pokemon. Any more and it would kind of feel a bit too Gen 1 pandering and given how S/M is really breaking the mold on so much it would kind of not feel right given the rest of the games.
