slurry_curry posted:Something tells me my neighbors might not appreciate a 2 person house having 3 cars, so I might have to keep one where I have the celica stored, but at at least its only a couple miles away from my house. As long as you can fit them in the area appropriate to your house, who cares? I'm single and at one point I had a race-car and cart in the garage, my personal truck and car in the driveway, and company truck parked on the curb in front. I did store the car trailer off site. As long as your cars aren't spilling over into the neighbors or breaking the local town codes in some way, own as many as you want!

Man I have to actually mentally count my cars before I can even give a reasonable estimate of how many I own at this point. The latest arrival is parked closest to my neighbors house and he thinks it looks better than the last departure, and my other neighbor has had the two halves of an unrestored tractor and his old toyota pickup pushed into the woods facing my house... for who knows how long, at least as long as I've owned the place. I do need to cut up a few more though because I want them gone before snowfall. Speaking of which, who wants to buy a Datsun 720?

Eh, pretty much everyone on my street is nice, and while I don't think they would say anything, I would just feel bad taking up that much space when 2/3 cars don't get driven that often. Hell, when I was younger(I bought the house I grew up in from my mom and stepdad) we had 6+ cars at the house and no one really cared. Granted there are a lot more yuppies in the area now. And we are one of the few blocks in the neighborhood that isn't completely packed street parking and I would like to keep it that way. The Locator posted:As long as you can fit them in the area appropriate to your house, who cares? This is a pretty densely packed neighborhood(Crown Hill/Ballard for Seattle people) and my "area" for parking is enough for maybe 2 cars on the street and the driveway. Garage is not an option at this point, but hopefully that will change soon. Nothing stopping me from parking a bunch of cars on the street, except for trying to be a nice neighbor. BraveUlysses posted:Because Seattle parking is crazy also this. I really like the fact that in my area people can come over and not have to drive around looking for parking for 10 minutes.

It doesn't have enough torque to maintain 85 in 5th gear if there's even the slightest incline (yes, we do have highways here with 80-85 mph limits, but if I get on them I have to stay in 4th if I want to keep up with traffic). The Altima... uh, well, the speedometer only went to 120, and it had no problem burying it if you gave it enough road.
