I love trials, but looking at the destiny page in twitch.tv in the weekends make me sad, since is page after page of trials carries. Is rare to see somebody doing the raid or assaults or patrol, just chilling around. Trials os the second best thing on destiny, but for some reason gets the best gear and now 400 LL.

I'm just glad that you can hit end game LL with Crucible now. Remember when that was not the case? I felt bad and I'm in no way a PvP guy.

PvP people need to experience the fear to face overpowered raid weapons (at least until they get patched). Is the natural order of things. The way it is now, may be fair and more fun. But is unnatural. I predict something strange and evil will happen. Toads and carps raining. Dogs and cats living together. Womens becoming bipolar.

Tei posted:The problem is... Bungie consider the real game the last DLC. And the playerbase follows that. And it somehow works. I have no idea what kind of experince you could get from old DLC. I cant be the same thing being there at release of these DLC. In a way every DLC kill the content before it, so the current Destiny is not really a accumulation, more like a aggregate where some things are still relevant, but most stuff is arcillary. Like, the mythoclast is still in the game? Sort of yes. Is the Icebreaker still in the game? Perhaps yes. But they are in the vault and you dont use them. I miss my mythoclast so much

Icebreaker was a bad gun because it made players feel that a valid way to play the game was to hide in corners to exploit AI and take pot shots as the thing recharged.

Icebreaker would have been a really cool gun if it did what its grimoire suggested; kill the user. Like if you ever reduce it to zero rounds there's a 50% chance you just explode.

I would say its a fairly strong roll but the insane range that roll has might be a bit overkill. I would pick it up if you don't have any other competitive pulse rifles in that archetype.

I love how impressively bad the matchmaking can screw things up sometimes. Got dropped into a mayhem game with two fire teams of three and two other randoms. Of course, it's the three solo droppers vs the pair of three man teams.

I thought range was a general good It's good but eventually you reach diminishing returns and even more range won't help you as much as an alternate perk might. There aren't many places in the current crucible maps to have encounters where maxing out the range bar would be tangibly better than being slightly below the cap.

Drag posted:What do you usually map to the paddles? Been thinking about Scuf, away from KB+M too long to probably make xim worthwhile. I map jump on the left paddle and reload on the right paddle. This let's me jump and aim really easily, and during Trials you can also revive and aim/look around as needed. It took some time to get used to (I still don't like using the paddles to jump during platform puzzles), but it was worth the muscle memory learning curve and definitely a gamechanger for me. I don't remember if Scuf has remappable paddles, but Sharq does and that was well-worth whatever extra cost it was. I also use the removable trigger stops. What are people using in their Heavy slots when running with Outbreak Prime? I haven't really been impressed with the raid rocket and don't have the raid MG (heard it's SGA on crack). Quillim's Terminus feels underwhelming with its solar damage. Have people tried using a legendary void sword for captains?

I use the raid rocket and get off a couple shots after I stick the captain with a grenade. I picked up a void raid sidearm last night and am halfway considering using it to dump on captains when they get close.

Have people tried using a legendary void sword for captains? Your favorite heavy. I deal with captains by emptying a full auto shotgun and switch to MG for cleanup and monitor. Shotgun impact isn't a big deal, just full auto for double DPS
