Halloween? I was a big fan of that series. Michael Myers was a fantastic, minimalist villain. Unlike other slasher villains that would follow him, he nailed the quiet, mysterious killer angle by juxtapositioning his brutality and relentlessness with that odd bit of stoicism and observational nature he had.  The second movie followed this up even better. While having some pacing issues, it ramps up a simple killer into a hellish killing machine without ever going into the realm of clear monster. Just this unexpected, not quite in line with reality force.  The third movie got a little weird. I mean, I get what they were going for, but it was a convoluted story line that was busy muddling itself whereas Michael got a basic concept of fear and horror across quite clearly.  Number 4 got a bit weird since at this point, Michael has a bad tendency to chase after young girls and the movie tried to play up that aspect. Like I get that he doesn't have a lot of depth of character but he's not meant to be one. Still, they decided to experiment with it and romantic horror isn't the oddest combination ever.  Halloscream was something of a strange follow up as well, but I applaud it for being daring. Not everyone would try putting out a movie where your established straight main character starts to explore his sexuality some more with characters like the Scream dude.  I got off board at the Lion King, Nightmare on Elm Street threeway crossover though. The original idea of the series was dead at that point.  We don't speak of Halloween Kiss Players.

Ah, one of the people complaining about Undertale I see. It's one of the legendary undertales you have to collect in order to unlock the ultimate weapon, the overtale, which is required to defeat the Taletaker, whose darkness is corrupting the land. Unrelated but super timely.
